I need to get the prayer warriors going for Jennifer. She is having an awful time. I guess I will start her story with her telling my friend Lynette to send her the maternity clothes she lent Lynette (an unexpected and very exciting turn of events for them) but that her doctors were not quite as excited as she was. When she was about 10 weeks, she developed another blood clot, this one in her knee. She had surgery, then developed complications that caused her leg to swell up 5 times its size. More surgery. More complications. 19 staples in her leg. They find out they had nicked an artery during the first surgery. Anyway, by the time all this was done, they had to take her baby. I find it very sad that they didn’t even let her keep an ultrasound picture – the machine they had in the ICU didn’t have a way to print one. For the last 3 months she has had to deal with an open wound, extreme pain (she can’t walk more than 2 steps), and an addiction to painkillers. Wondering why all this is happening to her has shaken her faith (and she has always been my example of someone who gets great joy from her relationship with God) and it has done crazy things to her family life. Her husband has had to take care of everything with the house, their 4 yr old son, and her. She does have her mom, stepdad, and dad nearby and they help out when they can. So far she is happy to still have a pulse in her toes, so she can keep her leg. Please pray for healing of her body and spirit, for Matthew and Owen, and for her angel baby.
