Hello gals,

Here's a sweet little letter we received and thought ya'll might like to partcipate in a card shower. We missed Christmas, but I'm sure she'd still love some farmgirl cards to wish her well.

Hi,

My name Heavyn. I am 9 years old. My grandma is a Farmgirl. She doesn’t have a computer or things. She lives the old ways. She has volunteered all her life. She has a college degree too. We believe in God. For Christmas, I would like to see if you can help me get a card shower for her. She has bone cancer. They cut off her right leg. She has an artificial one. She still tries to do garden work, sew, cook, keep house, and has lots of animals.

I named my puppy Butters. Ms. MaryJane can you help me? My grandma is depressed. She loves magazines, books, cards, and wolves. She is half Lakota Native American. This is my wish for Santa this year. I have lots of toys. I want Grandma to be happy too. I have about $10.00 I earned for raking leaves. I can send that to you for the ad. My sister is 13. She reads your magazine to me where I don’t know the words. Please, please help me. My sister said you were too busy. I believe in miracles. My mom almost died and she lived. God can move mountains. I learnt that in Sunday school. My grandma made me some bloomers from your magazine.

Thank you so much in trying to help and listen to me. We don’t have much money but I keep care of my toys. Mom said we have to make Christmas presents this year. That’s alright as long as grandma is happy. Thank you for your help. Love you Ms. MaryJane. I have some shoes called that.

Love,
Heavyn Melonson

P.S. My sister said here is the address to send cards to my Grandma:
