My daughter left California today and is headed to my house which is in Michigan. Her husband was abusive and she waited till after Christmas to leave. She is driving a southern route but I still am worried about her please say a prayer for good weather and fine roads all the way. She has my three granddaughters with her so it is going to be a bit of a rough drive. They are 9, 5 , and 4. So keep her in your prayers. thank You everyone. Beverley

Wow, that was a very long drive for this time of year. I'm glad they arrived safely and that all is well.

Oh Bev, I am so glad that you are their for your daughter and grand kids. So very glad she is their safe and sound with her family. It makes the journey much easier when family is close and supportive.

Beverley, I don't know how I missed this post, but I am so SO happy and relieved that your daughters and girls made it safe and sound to your door. You must be breathing so much easier now. Will be keeping you all in my prayers.

Phew! I'm so happy for you, and so proud of her for being so strong when it's so hard to be strong. I've been there, done that.... just having "mom" means so much!

I sure have. She walked in the door and hugged me and just bald her eyes out for about 5 minutes. I told everything was ok now she was home. I hope she slept good last night my one dog kept barking cause she didn't know my sisters dog. so that was a pain but the grandkids are sooo cute and having so much fun this morning already. So, I am very HAPPY!!!!!

I have already decided to take january and just have fun with the kids. I have stuff for us to make and fun stuff to do all lined up. they will have to be enrolled in school and stuff too but my daughter will do all that and around here the bus picks them up right at the end of the driveway so that is really nice.

Well she got further last night then she thought she would which is good cause she wanted to get into indiana to my nieces early enough t be able to put the kids down to sleep and stay up a while with my niece so I think she will be doing that. and it is warmer so no more snow driving. It is raining but warm. She will be here tomorrow night hopefully unless she stays at my dads downstate for one night. But that would be ok too cause At least I would know she is safe and she keeps wanting to get into michigan cause she says at least I know the roads there and where to go. So far everything is going well. Thank you everyone for letting me vent and talk about this and all the prayers!!!!

Bev , we are in a tornado watch until 5:oo am. Thats real great to invite when we are having tornados :(. But I just found out about it. She is good to stay over in Oklahoma City and get a good nights rest. Prayers going out for her trip. But do keep us on the list if she needs a place to stay while traveling.

Linda thank you so much for your invite, that was very nice of you. She will be going through Missouri but just the bottom tip. She wanted to get to oklahoma city tonight and then she wants to make it to terre haute indiana for the last night because my neice lives there and they have always been close so she is stopping there for the last night. neither one of them have sisters just brothers so they have always been more like sisters than cousins. They do a lot together and my niece is the godmother to my granddaughters. So that will be nice for her to see her.
Kristin, thank you for your prayers too. It is a long trip for her and the girls and I told her I had her on this forum and she thought that was really nice. Sunday night can't get here fast enough!!!!

Yep Dawn is right, door is open here in Missouri if she comes this way. We got really warm weather 70*, storms later down south of us.

Dawn that was a very nice thing you said about opening your home. Thanks for the thought. and Thanks to all the prayers cause right now she is driving in the snow and she called to get some advice. We looked on mapquest and the weather channel for her . so keep those prayers coming!!!!

She is in my thoughts and prayers as well as the little ones.... They will make it and be fine. She is strong enough to draw the line, she will be strong enough for the drive..... she has farmgirl power every step of the way! I know if I lived south, I'd open my house to them all for a safe haven to rest, and I'm sure the rest of the connection would too!
