Understood, Sleepless. I wasn't really too worried about disclosure here as he doesn't even know how to turn on a computer much less navigate on one. But I will watch that, anyway.

Suzie, I have always felt I was strong in spirit, but the courageous part? No. I only did what I felt was necessary for survival. But thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

Lisa, there is only one way to go and that is UP! I am on my way.

Thank you all again for your prayers and well-wishes. God is answering all the prayers offered and things are getting better every day. The power of prayer is absolutely remarkable. I am so incredibly blessed with so many wonderful sisters and friends. I can't possibly put into words how warm it makes me feel and how touched and grateful I am for all of you and all that I have at the moment. And a big thank you to MaryJane, too. Without you, I would not have such a wonderful, supportive extended family.

Love and bear hugs to all!

Rose, you're going to make my head swell! lol

I am well and just moved into my own place this weekend. The internet is not on yet and so I have not been able to touch bases with you all (and suffering withdrawal!). I came into work early today so I could get on here without being on county time. I have been just fine. Working at getting the new place set up and shoveling a ton of snow this weekend. Felicia is home from school and we are thoroughly enjoying our time together. A friend brought us a Christmas tree with stand and lights. It's a really wacky tree, but it's fun. I took pictures and as soon as I get internet up, I'll post them. I pretty much have all I need. I borrowed a washer and dryer and managed to sneak back into my house and got some dishes, towels, food, my sewing machine (very important, you know!) and other necessities. All that's left is a couch and tv. But for now, Felicia and I snuggle into a bunch of pillows on the floor and watch movies on the computer. It works out just fine! The house is decorated with all the wonderful Christmas cards I received from our exchange here. So, It looks very cheery!

Felicia has not visited her dad yet and doesn't know if she even wants to as he has been nasty with her over the phone. I left it up to her. After all, she's 18 now and can make those decisions for herself.

The nice thing about the subdivision I'm in is that it's private. You are only allowed in if you're a homeowner or invited guest. So, if he finds out where I am and shows up there, I can have him arrested for trespassing.

So, no worries, gals. I'm just fine.

Oh, Lisa, please be careful. There are a couple things I noticed here - you mentioned he was hanging around the court house, can't you charge him with stalking? The second thing was that he was going around and scaring others - what if they call the cops on him and report him? Even if it is just being a public nuisance, it will all add up against him. But if he is threatening them, that is illegal. Just a thought...

Please, be careful. Will be remembering you in prayer.

We, the town, are keeping a close eye on Lisa. I think she could finally do this because she has an entire town to protect her. Her husband is NOT well liked and she has found out just how many people put up with him because we all know how special she is. I told her yesterday that he really wants to get her alone for some bad reason I know and that she is too close to the situation to see that. She did agree. She will not be alone and he will be very sorry if he harms her in any way. People have been known to disappear around here! This town needs her but we don't want him so it is time for him to move on and for Lisa to become all that she is, which is pretty incredible. There is no one like Lisa who has never said a bad word about anyone, is quick to help anyone who needs it, and is one of the hardest working women I know.

Thanks to all of you, I think I can see some life coming back to her with a bright future.
Love to all the farmgirls we "know", some who we might get to meet at the BBB because I am hoping Lisa and I can participate in that. She is a wonderful friend.

Yes, Alee, that address works. Diana, I filed for a protection order but, because the last time he hurt me or threatened to kill me was too long ago, the judge couldn't order one based on an old event or threat. Recent stuff is just throwing/breaking things, slamming doors, puching walls and windows and screaming horrible obscenities, insults and accusations.

I am being very careful and do not go out around town except after dark. I go to work early and I've been leaving early so he doesn't catch me outside the courthouse.

I sure do appreciate all your concern, support and prayers. I never thought I would ever need it, but I'm so glad I'm a part of the family here. It's such a comfort.

Love to all,
Lisa Marie

Lisa Marie - be strong!! I have been in a similar situation and I applaud your strength in your decision. Please let us know if there is anything you need, or that we can do to help. It sounds like you have a support system in town; that can be so important. Remember that you have the farmgirl support system too
