Last few days were the worst in as long time.
Done a lot of crying, and just lying in bed with the blankets high and hiding myself from everybody.
My dear friend A. and my pastor finally could convince me to find professional help.
And I did!! I called a Christian counselor my pastor knows quite well, and she will help me. I will go on Jan. 5, can't go sooner because of monetary problems. But Jan. 5 is fine, now I know I will be helped.

I have written a lot on my personal blog lately and just now got an answer from my brother and his partner (puter problems on his side).
They both support me for the full 10.000 % so that is good. My brother is happy I finally see I can't do it alone, it is nothing to be ashamed off etc.

And I guess I was not really ashamed, it was the "indoctrination" by my mom all those 49 years I lived with her.And now I have to live MY life in MY way and on my own terms. And that includes getting professional help.

Thanks for all the prayers gals

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

Hi our girl Dutchy!!!!! By the way, I really like your choice of names.
Marian, you have taken the biggest first step of all, saying I can't do this by myself. It is one of the hugest hurdes we humans take. I am proud of you for that and talking about it.
It alleviates some of the fear associated with not being able to cope. That saying "just pick yourself up by the boot straps and move on" doesn't always work. Sometimes we need help with those boot strapes and some different ways to pull them on becuase how we use to do it, wasn't working. So you do what you must right now, we are here ready, willing and able to listen.
My nurse practioner gave me the okay to be able to say, I am "under" it and need help. She told me that if I ever felt like I couldn't cope with all that was happening in my life, to let her know. I had to. I was grateful that I did. It made a huge difference for me. My biggest step was saying, I need help. So know you aren't alone in this, many of us have needed help. It allows us to be there for each other.

Good idea, it always helps to share our feelings with others I'm sure you'll be feeling better soon. This can be a rough time of year for all of us, the winter light, the cold weather, etc. Take care, Karin

Good for you, Marian. You are a smart gal. You recognized a need, acknowledged your limitations, and searched for a solution, which is so very hard for us humans to do! That is the beginning of happy days from now on, I bet. Hugs to you, Nance

Marian - pat yourself on the back for taking steps towards feeling better. You are in charge of your health, physical or mental, it's all one. Keep your chin up and out from the under covers until Jan 5! Hugs.

You are in my prayers Marian. It sounds like you are on the right track. My best friend is a Christian counselor. She is a superb listener and has been a huge support to me since we met in 7th grade (1972). I know you'll benefit a lot from counseling.

Keep talking to us here! You have lots of farmgirl friends & support, praying & pulling for you!
