My son had an interview yesterday at Macaroni Grill and they also gave him several pre-employment tests, which he passed. They're supposed to let him know by Friday if he has the job, so keep those prayers coming!

My son just lost his job yesterday, and he's so upset. He lives at home with us, but he's got car and insurance payments that are due in a week.

Please pray that he finds a new job soon!

Bumping up the prayers. It's nice to be able to be really specific. Come on, Friday, with good news!!!

I'll keep praying too! I sure hope your son gets the call first thing Friday morning to let him know he got the job!

Thanks for the update, Diana. Ramping up the prayers here - and adding an anti-grumpiness one for your DH.

Thanks for all of your prayers.

My son has been applying for jobs the past 2 days so hopefully he gets a new one soon. It's been stressful around here as hubby cosigned for the car loan.

He was all supportive the day my son lost his job, but now he's being kind of nasty, making snide remarks to me and being a general grouch. It's not like the kid can pull a job out of his tail end, and he HAS been out there looking.

More hard times are probably coming , but as long as we all stick together and help our loved ones, it will be okay with time. My mom always said that after surviving the depression. It takes teamwork and love and just sharing everything we have. I hope your son finds a job soon. Give him a hug from all of us!

Diana- I know how hard this is for your son. My husband, son and daughter all lost jobs this year. I will be praying that he finds something quickly.

I am so sorry to hear of your son losing his job. We are going through hard times and I will keep my fingers crossed that he gets another one soon. Job hunting is no fun, so he has my thoughts and prayers for a successful job hunt.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son losing his job. It is unfortunately happening too many people these days. Thank goodness he lives at home with you. My best friend and her husband are losing their home & will probably be out by Christmas. These are tough times. Your son is in my prayers.
