My husband, Ken is having heart problems. Now mind you he is a true tough country guy. He has been having chest pains for a month now. Did I know, no. He went to the doctor last week for his regular check up. He called me later that day and said they had done a EKG and said they thought he had had a silent heart attack. Well we have been trying to get him in to see a heart specialist and it is like they don't care. So last Friday I called his regular doctor, the one he had went to to tell him I was worried and he informed me that the reason they had done the EKG was because Ken had told him about the chest pains. Well I called Ken and told him I knew and he got really silent. I asked him if he thought he ignored them that they would go away. His response was he was hoping so. So here we are a week later from when they told him about the heart attack and we have still not gotten into see a specialist. They told me that the first appointment they had would be the end of October or the first of November. I am scared. My husband never cries and I have seen him cry nearly every day since he went to the doctor. I told him that they could fix heart issues now and it wasn't like when his grandpa had his heart attack and died. He said he was more worried about how we were going to pay for this. We have no insurance. I have assured him that nothing we have is worth more than him. I also told him he was going to have to start being honest with me. I explained I knew he was trying to protect me but it wasn't fair to me if something happened to him and I didn't even know he was sick.

Anyway thanks for letting me vent a little and please keep him and our family in your prayers.

Oh Jeanna! I am so sorry you and your husband are going through this. I hope your specialist has an opening soon and can get him in sooner. Also don't be shy about asking if they have assistance programs. *hugs*

Jeanna, I just saw this and had to tell you I will be praying that your husband will be able to get in sooner. It seems to be serious enough to get to see a specialist asap. AND I'll also pray that your husband will keep you informed like he's supposed to! I'll also keep you in my prayers, also.

Mine did the same thing to me, but thankfully it turned out to be something other than his heart. I understand your feelings entirely and am glad he is being straight with you now. You are both in my best well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I am hoping you can get in to see a specialist soon. Stress isn't good for either of you
*hugs* I hope everything turns out well, let us know ok?
