I got a call on Saturday from the lady who owns the Adult Family Home that my mom is in, saying they were calling an ambulance for my mom, that she had fallen the night before. They thought she was ok when she went to bed, but she woke up in a lot of pain and her shoulder was swollen. As it turns out, she had a broken arm. When I spoke to the manager of the home she is in, she said she had been sitting on the toilet and started to fall off, and when the manager grabbed her to keep her from falling, she accidently broke her arm. Due to her Alzheimers, Mom can't tell me anything about the accident. I know that elderly people have brittle bones that are easily broken, but it's impossible to know whether the caregiver was rough with her or if it truly was an accident. Please ask the Lord to watch over her.

Sherri I'm so sorry your mama was hurt by the people who are looking after her. I hope that she heals fast and feels better soon. I too hope that it was just an accident and that your mama gets the right care from them from now on.

Praying for your mom, sweetie.

My momma suffered from Alzheimer too, the last 5 years from her life. I was her sole-care-taker, which was very very hard!

I feel for you. I know how you feel.
Many many hugs from Marian
