Hello all farmgirls. Please pray for all of us on the coast. Hurricane Gustav will be entering into the Gulf of Mexico. I've already chatted with two farmgirls concerning this matter. One from Louisiana, and one from Texas. I live in SW Louisiana. In 2005 Hurricane Rita demolished our home sending 5 and one half feet of water into our home. I ask all of you to please pray for the coast areas of Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, etc. Thank you all.
Marly

Prayers for all who are in the path of Gustav. May God put up a hedge of protection for everyone and keep them safe.

I will be saying a special prayer for all our farmgirls and all those living in the areas that may be affected by this terrible storm. May God watch after your safety first and protect your homes and businesses as well. Blessings to you all - Cathy

Marly,
That's great, I'm glad you will be with friends. Yes, now I remember you said you had a sister in Kerrville. My neighbor goes up to Kerrville every month for rug hooking group and I am going to start in the fall to go with her. I am a begining rug hooker, so I try to go to the different events around the area as much as I can. The next time you visit her and have time, give me a call. :O)

Stay safe, and again I hope your place is spared any damage.

Hugs,

Brenda

Brenda:
We have a camp around Lafayatte. I don't think it'll get us away from the hurricane but we'll be away from the water. Our house is surrounded by water; a huge lake in the back of the house, and on the front side of the house about 20 feet away is the Vermilion River which leads into the Gulf of Mexico. Our neighbors will be with us at the camp, so we will not be alone. I hate being by ourselves during a hurricane. The neighbors husband is a doctor, so that makes me feel a little better! But, thank you for the heart warming offer. It amazes me how kind all of you farmgirls are to each other. This is surely one of the best things I've ever done; joining this MJ farmgirl site. I am truly overwhelmed at the kindness. I will never forget the offer, and in the future if I can ever be of help to you, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks again, Brenda. Oh, I think I've mentioned before that I have a sister that lives in Kerrville. Kerrville is in the Hill Country if I remember right. God Bless.

Annika: Thanks for the prayers. I'm beginning to feel all of the prayers from the farmgirls. This is such a calmning place for me now. Whenever I watch the weather channel or the local news/weather, I get all worked up. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Marly,
Yes we are pretty safe, we are up in the Texas Hill Country, west of San Antonio. I know San Antonio is setting up shelters and getting buses ready to pick up people. If it hits Texas, we will get lots of rain and wind most likely. I just got home so I haven't checked the latest weather reports. Do you have somewhere to go if it heads your way? I know we would be a drive for you but you are welcome here, nothing fancy just a fith wheel trailer we use for company and a little guest cottage.

Hi Brenda:
When I've posted messages, I have asked for prayers for the gulf coast. I'm not thinking completely right now, but I do also mean anyone who may be hit by Gustav; inland places. Brenda, I am praying, especially when I listen to the weather channel. For some reason I get bent out of shape when I listen. LOL I know they are only preparing the people. LOL Are you in a safe place?

Marly,
I'm praying for the entire Gulf Coast and for everyone one inland who will be affected by Gustav's path. I pray for your safety and that your place will be spared this time.
Stay safe and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hugs,

Brenda

I hope that everyone is okay. Please take care and be as safe as you can be. I'm a-way up here in the pointy tip of Idaho and can't come help anyone directly, but I sure can send prayers.
Blessings to you Marly and prayers for your safety as well as many, many others.
