Thanks for all of the prayers for the families affected and also for my son. This has been a very emotional and traumatic week for my son. On Wednesday he had to attend the first wake, then on Thursday was the first funeral in the morning and then the wake for his second friend in the afternoon, and this morning the funeral for his second friend. May God give peace and healing to Sam & Trevor's family, and may the memories they have of their sons give them strength, and draw them closer to You. Amen.

At 3:30am, two of my youngest DS's friends were killed in a one vehicle car accident, 2 others are in critical condition, and one miraculously got away with a concussion and some scrapes/bruises. All these young men had been at a birthday party, and the police believe alcohol and excessive speed were the major contributors to the accident. They were all 21-23 yrs old...way too young to die

My DS is very shaken up over the loss of his friends.

Please pray for all of the families of these young men, and also for my son.

Diana, I am so, so sorry to hear about the accident. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your son, your family and all the families involved. And with all those who have ever been similarly affected, which is probably most of us.

God bless -

I'm so sorry to hear about your son's loss. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and their families, but also with your son. I know how hard it is. During my senior year in HS, I went to 13 funerals, and many of those who died lost their lives to sheer stupidity like this, whether it was their own stupidity or someone else's. I learned that constantly thinking about the "What-if's" did nothing but make me more miserable, and that it was okay for me to be angry at those I lost - being angry doesn't mean I loved them any less.

Diana I will light a candle for your son and his friends. I had a similar thing happen when I was a senior in high school to people I knew. It really shakes your foundation at that age to think you can be gone in an instant. Bless you all.

We went through a similar situation in November. You just brought tears to my eyes. Give everyone involved lots of hugs and there will be plenty of prayers on this end.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy and will be praying for the survivors, all the families, your son, etc. We went through this the December after ds graduated from high school -- three former classmates in a similar type situation but at 6 p.m. on a Sunday evening.

By the way, I saw you're from St. Peters. My sister & bil used to live there for several years and hope to return to the area when bil retires.
