Grandma got some screws put into her hip today. She came through the surgery fine. Now is the recovery. It would be wonderful for her to heal quickly and painlessly. I am not sure, but I think she will have to have some sort of physical therapy. I will post another update when I have one.

Ladies-

Please pray, send good thoughts, healing energy and the like towards my grandparents. You might remember that my grandfather (87) was attacked on Fourth of July Weekend. He is doing better and moving around more which is amazing and we are so thankful.

I am not sure when it happened, but my Grandmother fell and broke her hip. She is in the hospital right now. Doug got the call late last night and I was already in bed. I will update when I know more.

Alee, I'm glad your grandparents are on the mend. I'll be thinking of them both.

I missed the post in July about your grandfather being attacked. That's ironic, because my dad was attacked and badly beaten over the 4th of July weekend two years ago. What's up with Independence Day?

My own grandfather is 83 and was a radio operator in WWII bombers. I worry about his safety quite a bit, and I wish there was more I could do for him and my grandmother. Aside from crime, just getting around can be so dangerous for old people.

They're in my thoughts today, too, Alee. I was wondering about your grandfather yesterday - about how he was doing.

Thinking of them, Alee....this is a difficult time for them, for sure.
