Hello, I was just wanting to know if you all could help me out with a few prayers for my brother, Dan. He just came out here to live with me about 3 weeks ago. We already knew he had advanced cirrhosis and diabetes but he wasn't here more than 4 days and I had to take him to the ER. He was admited and there we found out he had cardio myopathy on top of everything else. They told us they couldn't do anything for him and it was only a matter of time. I tried to bring him home with me and had hospice coming in to help. I had to have him admitted to the hospital once again yesterday and there we found out he has pnemonia. He's in ICU and I don't believe he's going to make it out of the hospital this time. If he does, he will be placed in a nursing facility. He needs round the clock care and with my little ones it's too hard. I want to be a good sister but my first priority is being a good mother. I tried really hard while he was at my home but it was taking a toll on both my children. When Dan became confused it frightened my eldest terribly and he couldn't sleep at night. My toddler wasn't getting enough attention either, like I said, he needs round the clock care. So, what I'm asking for is not a miracle but just that when it's time for my brother to go, he can go and without suffering. I also need a prayer for our eldest sister Connie. She's back home in Michigan and I think she's feeling bad that she couldn't take him in with her. She's gone through so much, her husband is being released from the hospital today. To be truthful, I'm glad my other siblings can't see Dan as he is now. It's pretty bad. So, if you could throw a few thoughts and prayers this way, it would be wonderful. Thanks, All.
Abbey

I just want to thank all you ladies for your thoughts, prayers and support sent our way. Dan passed at 1:30 this morning. He's finally at peace. I'm praying for a safe journey to KY, where he'll be laid to rest with our parents and other family. God Bless You All.

Thanks to all of you and God Bless you. It makes me feel so good and you're all just a bunch of lovely women, I can't even tell you how much. My poor sister, she was so down today when I spoke to her on the phone. I just wished I could wrap my arms around her and hold her but I can't right now. I forwarded her a link so she could read all your kind words and I thinked it really helped her, as it did me. Thank you all so much.

Jehovah-Shalom, I pray that you will put your arms around Abigail and her family. Give them your peace during this trying time. Please put your comforting hands on her brother, Dan, as his body is struggling with illness and on Abigail and Connie's hearts while they are dealing with their own feelings of limitation through this with their brother. Holy One, I believe that you are with them all and will never leave them, thank you for your faithfulness through the rough times as well as in the good times. Guide this family and help them to be all that you would have them be.
In thankful love! As you wish!

Hello Abigail, will be praying for your family and the Lord's will in all the details. Caretaking is very draining and yet our hearts are involved and makes the right decisions hard to make. It sounds like your brother is getting the full time care he needs and that is the right thing for now. Loving well often requires good boundaries in order to fully give...Debbie

Praying for you!
I lost my oldest brother not too long ago (last year) and I miss him terribly.
SO I sort of know how you feel.

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy
