My dearest Farmgirl friends!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers, thoughts, energy that you have sent to my good friends from the Rockin Heart Ranch. Loren has been through his surgery. They were able to save his legs, but he has a very long road of recovery ahead. His doctors estimate as long as two years. He has nerve damage in one foot and his other ankle was the one that got crushed and reconstructed. He has to stay off his feet for six months. He is having some pain but is trying to manage. They are making trips back and forth between Spokane, and Seattle for doctors visits. Please continue to think about them in their many travels to see doctors- that they might have safe and pain free journeys. Also please continue to think of him during this time of healing. He mentioned recieving a card from a farmgirl and it really brightened his day. Thank you so much!

If you would like to see where my friends live or get their address to send a card, here is their website: www.rockinheart.com

Click on "contact us" for their address

Thank you all. Your love and support means the world to me and to my friends.

Dearest Alee,

The VA Hospital in Spokane could not do Loren's surgery, so they transported
him to Seattle to the main trauma specialists...

Thanks so much, I will try and write more later when I have time to keep you
updated...

I love you dearly for thinking of us and covet your prayers....
Nancy

Thank you Alee,

God is already answering your and all of our prayers.... he is in surgery
today, will try and write more later when rested.

Love,

Nancy

Ladies-

I just got the following email from a dear friend of mine. The man, Loren, is almost like a second father to me. This family "adopted" me when I lived in Moscow and was a great source of love and comfort to me. Please send any prayers, positive energy or good thoughts towards him.

From Nancy:

This afternoon, Loren was in an bad accident with our friends tractor and the giant tractor wheel ran over his legs... a very big tractor and it shattered his ankle and foot, breaking three large bones into many pieces.... these are very hard to heal..... Of course we praise our merciful God that it did not run over his spine or head or some other vital organ... he is alive, badly hurt, but alive thank God. This is very serious complicated break and our local surgeons will not operate on it and they are referring us to Spokane, where they may or may not take us as we have no insurance on Loren. He may loose his leg if it does not heal.... there is very little blood supply to one of these bones in particular and it is difficult to heal and if it dies can not be fused even.

I ask you all to say a prayer for Loren, he is in very positive spirits in spite of his pain and will not stop thanking God, as we all are, that he is alive and not more seriously injured. I know he would want me to pass along his love and thanks for all your prayers and I will write more later as I find out more.

There's a non-profit organization called www.farmrescue.org that was created to help family farmers deal with crises so they can continue their operations. They especially step in when there's been an accident like Loren's. Farming is one of the more hazardous occupations so there's a real need for organized help along those lines. Alee, perhaps you can contact them to see if Loren's farm/ranch would qualify for help?

Alee:
I would like to help your friends.
I'll email you to get their address.
Alee, my best college friend is coming in from Wisconsin tomorrow evening, and staying until next Wednesday. So, I might not get a chance to mail the card until Wednesday. Let me know if that matters.

Hi ladies!

Miss Wilma had a great suggestion. She did this with a friend in need not too long ago to help her out.

If you would like to help, you could send Nancy and Loren a card. If you wanted to tuck in a dollar to help with expenses for Loren's continued care and the gas that it will take going from their home in Potlatch Idaho to Spokane Washington- I know it would mean the world to them. They are amazing people who, do to the kindness in their own hearts, seem to always just squeak by. I know the last few years has been hard on the ranch and now loosing a full time labor position, I have no idea what they are going to do. Please email me if you would like their address. I will send out thank you cards to all who do, so please don't forget to give me your address as well!

Thanks Everyone! I really appreciate it, and as the family is very spiritual, I know they appreciate it as well. This family has had it's shares of ups and downs and they have always kept a generous and happy spirit around themselves. They are so generous and would share anything they had with you if you needed it. So I am hoping some of their goodness comes back to them now in their hour of need.

Alee, All of my prayers and healing energy to him and comfort to his family. It sounds like a terrible accident and working around big machinery at times, I am always afraid something like this will happen to someone. Blessings to him and his family and best of luck for a positive out come

Oh...how awful for him and his friends and family and for you to be so far from him at this time. I will pray HARD for him knowing that farming IS one of the most dangerous jobs to have when it comes to all that huge machinery. I wish I could be there with you as I know it has to be difficult for you too. He sounds like a wonderful human being. Prayers for him and a big hug for you sweetie.
