Posted - Jul 18 2008 : 06:42:42 AM My grandfather who is 87 got hurt and is now suffering severe pain. He is frail and already walked with a cane. His doctors had previously said he couldn't stand up to more surgery, but they might need to try surgery to repair the damage done.
I will be away from the computer for the weekend to go visit. Please send my grandpa some good thoughts and prayers if you are so inclined. He needs all the good healing energy we can send his way!

Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 09:24:07 AM Janice is right, Alee--I've been thinking about your grandad, and Justin has too...in fact, Justin has been working on your grandfather's plane (a model) after he found the right color and information. He is actually painting it exactly like it was when he flew it.

Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 09:17:46 AM He's in my thoughts and prayers, Alee. He's my dad's age(88). Dad was in WWII and I've been to two of his reunions. Those guys that fought that fight are too often overlooked and not given enough respect.

Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 08:10:54 AM Hi Ladies!
Sorry I haven't updated. Grandpa went to the doctor on Tuesday. They have given him stronger pain medicine and something to help him sleep at night. He still is walking with the walker and they are going to look at him again in later (2 weeks to a month) to see if he needs surgery. If he does need surgery then it won't be until next month.
Janice- I agree! The man that hurt him is a coward. I have such anger towards these people and I am trying to let it go, but it hard.
I told my grandparents that I had friends sending good energy and praying for them and they are very appreciative. Thank you for keeping my family in your thoughts. It means the world to us right now.

Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 06:43:48 AM How is your grandfather, Alee? Old people and children seem to be targets for abuse. How unthinkable to hurt a frail old man. What cowardice.

Posted - Jul 21 2008 : 08:23:55 AM Good Morning Ladies!
I got back from visiting Grandpa and Grandma yesterday. Grandpa used to be able to walk unaided or with a cane, and right now he has to use a walker. He is hardly moving from bed to bathroom to chair and back, but he is getting better than a couple of weeks ago.
The reason my grandfather is hurt is that he got attacked. He wasn't beaten, but he was manhandled. He already had a back condition where is vertebra are disintegrating. He was managing that but now this...
We will know more tomorrow after he sees the doctor. We are all praying that there is something the doctors can do and that if he needs surgery- that he will be strong enough to survive through it. We appreciate all the prayer and healing energy that you all are sharing with my family. Please also include that the ones responsible for this as they are lost in a very dark place right now.
