On Sunday, we recieved a phone call that my mom had fallen at church and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Turns out she lost her balance putting a box in her car, but did manage to fracture her right wrist. They still haven't put a "hard" cast on, she's waiting to see the orthopedist.
On the same day, my father-in-law was taken to the hospital and after many hours of tests, underwent brain surgery for a subdural hemotoma (sp?). He was doing ok, then seemed to slip down hill a bit. They also feel the growing mass on his lung is cancer and at his age (almost 90), he won't be a candidate for any real therapy.
So, here I am asking my cyber friends for prayers for both mom (to encourage) and for my father-in-law and the whole family that he is not in too much pain and suffering and that the family pulls together and makes good decisions for his care.
Thanks, friends.
Sharon

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers! Mom is doing well after having her wrist re-broken and re-set by the orthopedist. Sister is taking her shopping today, so she must be OK! My father-in-law is doing really well too. He may be discharged today and sent to a "care facility" for some rehab for a few weeks. God is good, and so are farmgirl prayers!
Blessings to you all,
Sharon

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

Dear Lord,

We pray for these folks and that You keep them in Your loving care. Spread Your healing light over them and bring comfort and rest.

In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen

May God bless those who love the soil,

Patsy
