So sorry I've been away. The past few weeks have been in a word... stressful and it seems I'm not handling stress too well these days. I just wanted to update you all on my mother and thank all of you who have been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. On Friday Mom went back to the doctor and we thought that they would give her the results to her bone marrow test but the doctor wouldn't as he didn't have the complete results. He had called her in because of a scan they did on her heart. Her aortic valve has narrowed and has worsened from her last check. The doctor set up a cat scan that day as he is worried that her heart is throwing clots to her lungs. Her lung function is not well right now. If she has to take her oxygen hose off for some reason and leaves it off for any time at all her oxygen count goes into the 70s. He also told her that it would be too risky to do anything to the valve right now as she had too many other problems facing her. My mom is very weak and can't do a lot for herself right now so I've been spending as much time as possible with her. Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts and thanks.

Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my mom. She's still not doing the best but I believe her spirits are better. Although my mom never really gets too down, I think her positive attitude has helped keep her going with all that's wrong with her physically. Thanks again!

Lainey, I am so sorry to hear your Mom is not doing well. I will pray for her and I hope things will improve for her. I can see why you would be stressed out. Anyone would be. I will say a special prayer for you too.

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

Thanks for the update, Lainey...I've been thinking about you, and your mother. I thought you might be busy with her and had hoped that nothing worse had happened. It does sound like she needs to have better results for her general health before they can tackle the valve issue. With her being so weak, it's just not a good idea.

I'm thinking of you, Lainey and your mother, and hoping she is not in any pain at all. Let me know if there's anything I can do from my end.
