I have mentioned here before that my dh has struggled with drinking. I am coming to realize that if I had had a back up plan this last year would not have been nearly so bad. He knew that he had all the control- I don't make my own money, I don't have a checking acct, I don't have a vehicle in my own name etc... I love my husband and hope to never have to use this for the way it was originally intended but I need to have a safety net. I need to start making my own money and stashing it away in my own bank acct.. So I have started my own business doing SEO work. Could you please be praying that I get some clients so I can start putting money away- the kids and I would feel so much better knowing we had this back up plan. Thanks all!
hope you all had a wonderful mother's day.

Blessings, Debra

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

For those of us in biz and need internet traffic to find our websites we depend on ourselves or those that do it for us to submit our website to 100's of search engines that send out "crawlers" that move through cyberspace and READ everyword that is on our websites. That's why it's so important to have good text and information on your website. Many other variables involved in this but this is the surface of it.

So for example when you go type in keywords for a search at Google.com and it pulls up websites... they have been "crawled" and pulled into the google information database. That is what biz owners depend on to bring customers to them.

It's a complex subject and very important to anyone with a website that wants their product to show up in a search. I would encourage anyone that's starting a biz with their own website to make sure this "backend" part of your marketing is taken care of or else no one will ever find you.

Debra, I was so sad to read your post. I am so sorry that the person you pledged your life to has such a massive problem.

I just want to stress here that NONE of it is your fault. OK!! You are a beautiful woman who can do anything. I believe in the power of working for a bit of your own money. I also am ignorant of what SEO means. Can you let us know? When we were struggling after I left my job to move to the country by my husband's family, I did just about anything for money. I was a Tupperware lady for a year. I watched neighbor's children one summer. I took care of my disabled sister (bringing along my daughter with me). You certainly can do it. I beleive in you.

Whenever you are ready to move on, please be sure that you have support here. These ladies are so kind with words and actions.

I also want to second that you need to leave immediately if there is any physical violence. That is a danger to you and your kids. Even us here i nthe country have a few organizations to help with finding a place to live and new work.

I used to watch my Uncle wail on my Aunt when I was growing up. She had no safety net either. Luckily, she had family and friends that loved her enough to help her and her two kids when the time came.

If he is abusive, PLEASE don't wait too long to leave. There are agencies and places to help you, and your children. I know you love him, but truly, his type never change and will always be a bully/abuisive.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is SEO?
Will the money be truly safe? Will he find it and spend, or will a bank notice in the mail put him onto it?
Do you have a friend you can trust it with, and perhaps hold the account in her name?
Do you have a bag packed with necessities stashed somewhere?
These should all be part of your plan too?

Just remember we love you and are praying for you and your situation.

Debra,
I am sorry. I can only image the pain it is to watch someone you love hurt the way he must... You are in my thoughts and prayers. Women have been putting away "egg money" for a long long time and there is nothing wrong with a rainy day account. Sounds like he is doing all he can to hold on to you ( he must know what he has got).. often times that comes out as control....I trust your physically safe...As Dr. Phil would say, if not that is a deal breaker....My mom died when I was 8 ( through domestic violence) So I tend to be hyper sensitive to those things.........My prayers are for blessings..... lots and lots of blessings!!!
