Hi, ladies. I am feeling a bit blue her right now.

I saw a reiki worker, and I felt things move out of me. unfortunately, the spot is still there on the liver. I am making choices soon about treatment options.

I spoke with my Medical Oncologist. I want to try the drug Avastin. It is being used in many trials on all sorts of tumors with some promising results. What they offer me now is known not to be very effective (how's three extra months with very little quality of life sound to you?) Needless to say I am willing to try Avastin and see how it works for me. There are studies that say it works a bit better with conventional chemotherapy, but I am thinking of just trying it by itself.

Hopefully, I will have very little side effects and can be a "normal" mom with my kids this summer. I just really want to be present and camp with them, sew, sit in the sun, walk outside, play a bit i nthe garden.

Just feeling like I need some prayers and hugs from all of you this weekend. I am so tired of depressing Friday news.

Clare, thinking of you daily and praying for your strength, and a "chin up". I know, I KNOW, it's difficult, but know that while we are all of us spread all over this country, our thoughts are right there with you each and every morn, noon and night.

Tomorrow I meet with the medical oncologist. She mailed me research to review. The traditional choice of cisplatin generally extends life by three months. There are three reported cases of long term survival of recurrent cervical cancer.

The Avastin slowed progression, but it did not improve overall life expectancy. However, those ladies had already had three rounds of serious chemotherapy.

I really would just like a surgery to remove spot from liver and then do Avastin for a bit to see what happens. The doctors are not keen on surgery as they feel it will recur somewhere else anyway (like lung)

I keep praying for the miracle of healing for my body. I keep seeing it immersed in blue healing light. I keep up my affirmations. When I weaken and worry, I then ask God to forgive me and give me back all the energy I lost to worrying about this situation.

I am doing the whole foods and juicing thing. I am also doing supplements and more herbs and more liver support herbs. I am sewing as much as possible while kids are at school. I finished a bed quilt for my son and dropped it off to the machine quilter's home yesterday. I picked up my finished Fall Swap Quilt. She did an all over meander on it. I am now handstitching the binding to the back and will add a label with all you ladies names when that is done. I have mroe blocks from swaps waiting to be put together next. It feels good to hold pieces from all of you in my hands. As I work I think and pray for each of you and ask for your love to fill these quilts. Quilts are my legacy to my kids. Most are not too fancy, but all are filled with love.

I treasure the blanket from MaryJane and my two quilts from you ladies. I lay under them each day. I can't tell you how much love is filling me when I pray and meditate under those. You have all been so good to me. Thank you.

Ok, so now every morning I wake and tell God "Thank you for another day with my family. Please give me the grace to be loving and kind and make a difference today." Of course I pray for healing and for God's will to be aligned with mine, but I know God is taking care of it all. I'm doing my part to make a difference in this situation and that is some comfort.

So please pray for me tomorrow, to hear God's direction on which option to persue for overall quality of life and health. Thanks. Thanks for always being ehre for me.

Clare, I would try the Avastin too if I were you. I pray so for you every day. I pray for your good health to return and for you to be able to have the life you want with your family. When it comes right down to it, it is always the simple things in life that we treasure most isn't it. I pray that not only will you have the sumnmer you so wish for, but many more summers to come.

Love and prayers, Mary Jane
