I got SUCH good news last night!
My oldest son, Corey will get a discharge and will be exempted from Army service. Whew!!!
For those of you who didn't know, he got orders to report in November (he is army reserve ..a medic..and hadn't been active for 6 years..had only 2 months left in his time when he first got the orders) he had applied for an exemption for a couple reasons....a back injury from a car accident last year as well as custody stuff with his little girl and ex wife that were not finished or likely to be finished anytime soon. He has her 50% of the time. Anyway....after 3 extensions...to january, then march and then April, they finally called yesterday to tell him the waiting was over and he won't be going. I can't tell you how relieved I am. He was resigned to the fact that if he had to he would go, but after 6 years of being an inactive reserve he sure wasn't ready for that. It has been a long four months until he got this decision.
I am still so glad that I got to go out and visit in November..but am glad it was not to see him before he had to leave quickly like we thought at first.
Anyway, thanks so much for those of you who knew the situation and kept him in your prayers. I am SOOO relieved!

Jenny,
What great news for your family! Especially for Corey's daughter. I know that him being here will make a huge difference in custody. I'll keep praying on that one too!
