Please say a prayer form MyFairLady's mom. She is in the hospital in critical condition. This is the same lady that MyFairLady was doing the yarn drive for. She is blind and she crochets all kinds of things for charity. She gives, gives, gives and I know if we pray, God will send her strength.

Thanks, Farmgirls!

Janice, I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. I was hoping for the best, but she is in a better place now-we all know that. She probably had a cheering section when she got to those gates. Thinking of you and your family at this time...

** Update*** Friends, it is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that my dear mother passed away yesterday afternoon. It is in so many ways a blessing for her to be without pain and burdon. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

***Update*** Girls you will all be glad to know your prayers and thoughts are working! Mom has been getting stronger daily. She is awake more now, and able to communicate better and better. Yesterday they took the ventillation tube out and she can now talk to us again. She is making small steps in the right direction all the time. She is still relying on an ultra filtration machine that works for her kidneys, but she is breathing on her own now, her blood pressure is more stable and her lungs and heart are stronger. Saturday while still unable to talk because of the tube in her throat she was writing on a pad of paper telling me that she has already completed several hat and mitten sets for the angel tree program and wanted to know if I had brought her project with me. Yesterday on the telephone she whispered "Don't forget my project". Bless her heart, always thinking of others and antsy to get working on what she does best! Diabetes is such a mean, difficult and unrelenting disease. I feel so blessed to have a mother that is such an amazing and strong woman. We all know that she is still very sick and will remain in the hospital for some time. What a gift she is to us. I have been thinking about how precious life is, how miraculous our bodies are, and how beautiful it is to have the bond with my mother that I do. Our entire family has felt the prayers in our behalf and appreciate continued support. Thank you.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for our entire family at this uncertain time. My mother is such a gracious and beautiful person. I feel that things happen for a reason, and as much as we hate to have her be so ill, the closeness and unity that has come to our family has been tremendous. She has suffered with the effects of diabetes and heart disease for more than 5 years. Because of this we have had to pull together, work together and have become very aware of our own personal health issues. We have learned not to take our health or relationships in our lives for granted because of her. She is even now in an unconcious state, doing the work of a mother; cultivating relationships, uinty and bond within her own family as well as her extended family, friends and even her community. The extent of her love has been far reaching, even world wide. It is hard to say the number of lives this one woman has touched in some way, either by kind words, prayers, or some article of clothing or blanket she has stitched for someone in need. She is truly an elect lady. I will try to keep you all posted as to her condition. Thank you so much for your concern and prayers. I love my farm girl friends, and am so grateful to have a place to express my thoughts and feelings.
