This has been an amazing week and a half and a sad one at the same time. I have a wonderful new grandson, my husbands pneumonia is gone

and my mom has bone cancer.

I don't think it really sunk in until yesterday. Mom found out this last Sunday. We will not know the details of it all and treatment possiblitlies until this Friday.
To say I have felt like I have been through an emotional ringer is an understatement. Leave it to my mom for a reality check, she says hey I am 72 and I am gonna die sometime.
Appreciate continued prayers, thanks for being there ladies.

First of all, you girls are the best. Thanks for every prayer and good wishes that you have given for me. FM is better managed and pain levels are doable. I am so grateful

Here is my request, My dad went to the dermatologist and had serveral cancerous spots removed. He will have surgery in 2 weeks for one by his eye. Not too concerned but prayers are always wise.

Second, my mom's bloodwork did not come back ok for tumors. She does have a sinus infection but she is being sent to her oncologiest at the end of the month after they have done more blood work.
Mom is a 2 time breast cancer survivor. She just made her 5 years out for the second time.

The other times she has gotten checked I wasn't nervous, this time I am. I am struggling more emotionally with this one. I know my mom won't be here forever and that I am so grateful for the time I have had. I just want lots more. Don't we all. Our moms play such an important part in our lives. Mine taught me about compassion and giving and so much more. Thanks for letting me share and for the prayers.
Carol Sue

Oh Carol Sue- having a sick mama is not easy. I just lost mine last month, after a long battle with diabetes. I will also pray for you and your family. I liked what Catherine said about praying that your time will be freed up so you can spend more time with family.. I too will pray for that for you. Cherish each second you have!

Carol Sue - I'm glad to hear the "better" news about your mom's cancer, if it is not the aggressive type then I hope she will beat it once again...and congratulations on your new grandson. Life certainly gives us ups and downs, doesn't it?

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,

Jo

Yep, crying and reading. No words can express how much each prayer and thought are appreciated and deeply felt.

I am doing better as of Friday. We learned that Mom's bone cancer is not aggressive, it is slow growing. The other 2 times with breast cancer it was very aggressive and the doctors thought if she ever got it again, it would not be good. So that was good news. Made me feel like we have some breathing room. Next week she has her bone density test and her bone biopsy. Then they put together the treatment plan that will attack it best for her. Thank you again dear sweet friends, encouragment goes a long long way.

Oh Carol Sue...I'm sorry. You're mom is sure a fighter, though, and her spirit is rewarding. Yes, it's devastating to think of a time that you won't have them--my mom thinks of my gran everday after 3 years, and I don't think that will ever change.

I am praying for all of you as you come to terms with her diagnosis and possible treatments and oh, just everything else, Carol Sue.
