Maybe this is a little late, but she always seems to have more trouble with the recovery from a procedure than with the procedure itself. She's been in the hospital since last week with atrial fibrillation (heart racing, in other words). They're going to defibrillate her today to restore a normal heartbeat. Usually she gets pneumonia after a surgery and ends up with congestive heart failure. But she already had pneumonia when she went in this time (probably the cause of the heart problem). So, here's hoping for a quick recovery and home soon!

My mother in law came home from the hospital on Thursday, and my sister in law and her family arrived later that evening to spend the weekend with her (that was the plan before she got sick). They had planned to have my husband and I come over on Friday to spend the evening. Well, they didn't tell us before we showed up that my mil had come down with a stomach bug and been throwing up all day. Now my husband is sick and had to call out from work. He's been sick pretty much straight on from Christmas (with 3 different illnesses) and he is annoyed beyond words that his family didn't cancel the party. Mil seems to be fine now, though!
