Ladies, I just want to thank you for the prayers. I am feeling better with time and just knowing that there are prayers when I am not doing my own.
The fatigue is liveable now. I am even getting out some each week with spending following day(s) recovering and resting. It's been a joy to sew and quilt as well. I don't know what others do without a hobby to keep the mind and hands occupied.
I am off to sunny Florida on Thursday with my in laws to stay by my folks. I will have both sets of parents to cheer me and enjoy their company. Hubby and the kids follow the next week, and we will have two whole weeks without school or after school activities. Yes, we have to bring along schoolwork, but it goes faster when you work by the pool LOL
I wish you all a lovely midwinter time. Please keep warm and spend some leisurely hours with your loved ones.
Thank you again. You all keep me smiling and encouraged. I just KNOW it will all work out fine now.

Posted - Jan 20 2008 : 5:11:14 PM Clare, I think of you so often and pray that you will be well soon. You are a strong and courageous woman, I know that you will do everything the Dr. says and take good care of yourself. Try not to think too far ahead, just keep your focus on the here and now. It can makes everything seem way too overwhelming if we keep trying to look ahead. Just love yourself and your family and enjoy each and every second of everyday. This will end and become a thing of the past. Then you will have everything as you want it again.
Love,hugs and prayers Mary Jane

Hello, ladies. I have not been on the computer too much. The kids hogged it over the holidays which was fine with me. I've been very tired from treatment as to be expected, but this week I am starting to feel better.
Thank you, Carol Sue, for keeping everyone up tp date. I have been meaning to go on here, but I was waiting for news from the follow-up before posting. The good news is the tumor is shrunk to almost half its size. I am praying it will just disappear over the next two months, but I need prayers for this. It's not a "likely" option. If it is gone, then I don't even have to consider a difficult surgery with possible serious life long complications and the risk of new cancer developing from the stress of surgery and recovery from it.
Cancer totally SUCKS. You have to really work to not let it take over your life, your thoughts, sucking away your energy and time with family. I am keeping busy with some sewing projects and books (for escaping). And I am going away to see my folks in Florida the end of Jan for three weeks with hubby and kids joining me for two of those weeks. My in laws are coming with me so I wil lahve company the whole time. I am looking forward to walks along the beach and warm sunny days.
Thank you for all the prayers and please keep them up. Some times I can't even pray, just sor t of dead, and some times I just scream at God for the unfairness of it all. I am still waiting for that miracle of healing, keep getting hopes up and then dashed or at least dented.

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 6:04:44 PM Update sent my way from Clare today, sharing it with you
Hi, everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I had my first follow-up appointment since I completed radiation with chemo treatment. My bloodwork is still low. If you pray, please pray for recovery of my bone marrow. My CT Scan was good. The tumor has shrunk to a bit more than half its original size. There is no cancer showing up anywhere else. The tumor should continue to shrink for the next two months. I am still praying for it to shrink up COMPLETELY. If you can pray for this miracle, I would appreciate that. In March I will have an MRI and a PET Scan to make sure there is no cancer anywhere else i nthe body and check o nthe progress of the tumor. Then, I see the surgeon and see what he has to say about the whole situation. So please leave me on your church's prayer list and please continue to pray for my recovery and healing. I really appreciate it, more than words can express. Love, Clare

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 4:36:46 PM Keep praying: Tumor has shrunk but we need to join together in prayer for it to shrink completely and to not show up anywhere else.
March is MRI & PET to make sure cancer has not turned up anywhere else.
Clare: I am praying everynight and I see you cancer free Clare. In March they will be amazed that you are cancer free and will continue to be. Bless you Hugs and prayers Carrie |

Posted - Jan 13 2008 : 4:52:01 PM UPDATE Had doctor appts that were pretty discouraging to her on Friday, had pelvic exam that they think they spotted an abnormality. She will get results back on MOnday evening I think.
They sent her in for a CT Scan as well and didn't tell her what is was for, they were looking to see if she had cancer any where else.
Surgery may happen and may not happen at all. Surgery has some life complications that they aren't sure are worth the risk. Surgery can also cause other problems as well. She will have to have a lot of blood work and Pet scans and MRIs before a decison on that is made. It could be months. She didn't know that. She wants to have time to spend with her family this summer, to camp, visit, play. Still very very tired, they keep telling her it is because of radiation, but she has anemia as well.
Keep her in your prayers as I know you do.
Carol Sue
