Posted - Dec 23 2007 : 12:02:13 PM Thursday my daughter called to tell us that she had just had a biopsy of her cervex done, the doctor has tested her for a bunch of things and everything has been negative so we don't know what this is going to tell us. She hadn't told us she was having any problems which is typical of her so I know that she must be pretty worried that she mentioned this. She is only 26 and lives across the country from us so she is being as brave as she can. I would so appreciate it if you could all send prayers for her. Thanks, Kathy |

Posted - Jan 10 2008 : 4:19:59 PM UPDATE Results finally back and they show a high proablity of cancer. She is waiting to be scheduled for a cone biopsy and some kind of electro surgery that is supposed to remove the bad cells. She is only 26 and really deserves a break.....she was raped a few years ago that resulted in numerous infections and a broken nose (two surgries to fix that) and an idiot now ex-husband. She and I would both appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts. Kathy |

Posted - Dec 28 2007 : 09:28:58 AM I want to thank each of you for your thoughts and prayers it has certainly helped these last few days pass more easily. We are still waiting the results and I can hear the stress in Erins' voice, I know how worried she is as she usually doesn't tell us when something is going on unless she knows that she can't handle it herself. Tough little bugger!!! What a treasure the FarmGirls are!!!! Hugs, Kathy |

Posted - Dec 27 2007 : 7:24:56 PM Kathy, Praying for your daughter and for you. Having been a daughter who always lived far away from Mom I know it can be difficult but we have so many avenues open to us these days for keeping in touch. So good that she has let you know what is going on. I'm sure it helps her a lot to have shared it with you.

Posted - Dec 27 2007 : 1:18:23 PM Kathy, I know it is hard, but try not to worry. I have had three colposcopies, all have been low grade, luckily. I was not satasfied with modern medicines answer to how to prevent it. They just say, come back in three or six months, depending on the DR. I went to a naturopathic MD, who told me to take Beta Carotine and Folic Acid drops. I took 5 beta drops and 3 folic acid drops twice a day, for three months. Carotenoids are known to fight cancer. My next paps were clear after seeing her. If she smokes, tell her to stop, it is quite common in smokers to have a low grade dysplasia. Also, a better diet can help. It is not commonly known, but when a biopsy is given on the cervix, the cervix has a tendency to heal itself from whatever is causing the bad pap. It really is scary. One time I asked my Dr. if I could die from it, she said only if I ignored the problem for seven years or so. It sounds like your daughter is on top of it. I wish you Peace, Trish
