please say some prayers. 2 of our dogs have been missing since this morning. Our dogs are like our children. We live in the country and they have been known to go exploring. The scary this is that less than a week ago a neighbor threatened to kill them. He was driving by and his little dog jumped out the window and ran into our yard and our dogs chased it. It wasn't hurt but the guy was mad and said he was gonna kill our dogs. We usually chain them when we go to work but it was raining really hard this am so we left them loose. My mother in law lives next door and hasn't seen them all day. We are really worried about it.

Oh Julie, I'm thrilled! I know I always felt the same way when my husky showed up after a long jaunt away from our house...I first hugged her and cried, and then I wanted to ring her little neck! That's love!!!

So happy that they're back safe and sound!!!!

Glad it was a good ending. Wet and dirty, still happy to have them home. They weren't lost, just out having fun in new and exciting places without a human to call them back.

After we called and called and drove through the bottoms and hayfields they finally wandering in about 20 minutes ago! They are soaked and probably went on a nice long swim as all the creeks and everything are flooded! Thank you so much for all your thoughts. I really didn't think my neighbor would hurt them but the timing was just bad. The moment they showed up I just sobbed and sobbed. I felt so sick all day and am SOOOO glad to have them back. Thanks girls!

Julie, I know how hard it is to have missing pets, and my heart dropped when I saw this post. So, I'm praying, sister farmgirl. Let us know when they return, okay?

I bet that's it, then. Especially if it's warm--our little Beagle, Daisy Bad Seed, she can get herself into the darndest fixes running something and before she knows it, she's far away in the woods. That's how she ended up at the shelter, unfortunately.

I'm thinking about you, and just keep calling them. They'll be home!!!

we live about 40 miles from the closest shelter. It is a little warm today and we did see some deer this morning so we are hoping for the best.

Julie, I'm really thinking about you all at this time. Maybe they just got on a scent and followed it a little further from home than normal. Sounds like the neighbor was just blowing off steam, though it WAS his little dogs fault!!!

Can you call around to the shelter to see if they've been reported or anything? It's not like they're small, and would go unnoticed.

Let us know what's going on, please don't worry--easier said than done.
