On Friday night, my husband Brian was robbed while dropping the deposit for his store at the bank. The criminal pushed him down and sprayed him with pepper spray.
All of this happened in plain sight of our children, while we were in the car.
We're very grateful that no one was injured long-term. But the emotional effects still remain to be seen, I'm afraid. We're still in shock. Our kids aren't sleeping well, neither is Brian, and I've hyper-ventilated three times in the last 36 hours. (These attacks are new to me.)
Please send prayers, good vibes and white light to help us though this..... Thank you!

Thank you all. It's been a hectic week, but the authorities think that they have a good idea about who this guy is and where to find him. Hopefully it'll only be a matter of time.
Brian is back at work, and feeling unscathed.

I think we might pull through this. :)

Thanks again!

Laura,
Sending prayers for healing your way. I am so sad that this happened in front of your family...but grateful that "Daddy" is unharmed.
We had a break in when my children were small(our oldest was 10). I was here in the boonies, alone with the children, middle of the afternoon, on a sunny winter day. It was terrifying. Time helped everyone heal and put the experience behind them, but it was very difficult at first. We found that praying together for peace and even praying over our home helped us feel better.
Again, I'm so sorry this happened. ((Hugs)) for all of you.

Laura, how horrible that your husband was attacked & worse still in front of you & the kids. Thank God no one was physically hurt. May you all have a calm & peaceful holiday. I pray that peace of mind will be restored to all you.

Laura, What an awful thing for all of you to have to go through. You must all of been scared to death. The poor kids, no child should have to see something like that happen to anyone let alone their Dad. I don't know about all of you. But I am so sick of people who think they can just rob or injure people and not even care about the consequences of their actions. The victims of these people are so traumatized and so are their families. It takes a very long time for them to even feel safe again. Sorry, I am ranting on but it just angers me so much to see this happen. I hope your husband and all of you have a very Merry Christmas and peace returns to you soon.

Oh dear, this is an experience worth missing. I'm both sorry and glad for you. I hope that everyone heals ok. Take extra time to be a family together, it will help all of you, and don't be shy about seeing your doctor if any of you have continued troubles. And please consider the police escort. I used to ask for one when I worked for a rental company and it was worth my sanity!

Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

Oh I am so sorry to hear about the robbery! That is so scarey. Did you know you can call for a police escort when doing bank drops? I used to have to do bank drops for one of my previous jobs. It was usually between 11pm and 2am (depending on the night) and even though the bank was right across the street, I would call for a police escort.

I hope Brian, you, and the kids are okay! What a scarey thing to experience! I am so glad that there was no permanent physical damage done! *hugs*
