I feel like I have run a marathon. Exhausted does not even begin to cover it. Went to my son't football game on Friday (they won) and ended up in the ER with my 5 yr old who suffered from severe abdominal pains that radiated throught his stomach and back. Finally sent home with the diagnosis, constipation. Ok - not so much. Saturday at 2 am- he threw up, then again at 4 and 6. By 8 am I was on the phone with the hospital who recommended an enema. Enema worked great except the pain continued so back to the ER. 7 hours later he was admitted, after a CAT scan and several chest x-rays. It presented like an apendicitis, but turned out to be pnuemonia. His white cells were at 29,000. We spent the night there and finally by 3 today he was released, his white cells down to 12,000. SO hard to see your baby, even if he's five he's the baby, suffer so. What a little trooper I tell you.

Here was my smile from the day.......as they took off his IV and various monitors, he dressed and went to leave he threw his hands in the air and shouted.... "I'm Free!!!!!"

He is home, I'm going to bed, and all is well. Wishing you all the blessings of this season. I know I have so much to be thankful for.

blessings
