Hi fellow Farmgirls,

I need some lifting up and good thoughts to be warmly radiated my way. Three weeks ago my husband lost his job at the contracting company that he has faithfuly worked for. I am working in an office job that I don't like (I have been there over 7 years)and there are many days that I really don't feel like getting up and going.

I am so glad that I found the Farmgirl Connection and am looking forward getting involved w/ a local chapter here in my city.

I have farmland that is still in my dad's name about an hour from here, but right now, it is not really feasable to make that move yet.....I am so wanting to make a move soon somewhere so we can move forward into new and exciting opportunities....ones that use our interests. I am hoping that one of these days for my husband and I can open up a small guest house and have a small farm of somesort.

We both LOVE to travel and are planning on going to the Amish country area with my dad here in a couple of weeks....I am so thankful that we can still travel on a shoestring and to get out of town temporarly.

Ok enough of my rambling on like a babbling brook...thanks for your listening ears.

Amy

I will be praying for you and your family too Amy. I know how it is to dread to go to work. At a former job I dreaded it so much it affected my health. I'm glad you are getting time away for your trip, trips like that pick my spirits up too. I hope things go much better for you all. Take care and hugs!

Good luck Amy, with everything. Just keep smiling no matter what. You will find where you are meant to be. I know, I've been there.

Sending hugs your way Amy. I know what it's like to be at a job I don't like. I did it for years. Hubby also got hurt a few years back and I had to get back into the workforce after beig a SAHM for 4 years. I wish you and your family the best. Good luck to your hubby and enjoy your break in Amish country. God Bless.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

Amy --

Monday morning and you are probably up and getting ready to go to that job that you don't like. What a blessing that you do have that job, however, especially with your husband's job loss. You are doing the best for your family right now, and those blessings and opportunities will open up to you someday. Keep focus on what you want to achieve and in the meantime focus on doing your day-to-day in a gracious and conscientious way.

Going up to Amish country will be a wonderful break for you.

Good thoughts are coming your way from me this Monday morning!

Hugs,

katie
