My husband has been battling intense dizzy spells and has had hearing loss in his right ear that as finally diagnoses as having come from a virus. He gets so dizzy he can't drive or walk straight. We have been from dr to dr and round about again. I really think he has some neurological damage for tickborne diseases he has had but we need someone to diagnose him correctly. He goes back to neuro dr on Monday - he has had many tests, and many things have been ruled out but I really think they will not find what it is unless they do a lumbar puncture. It is wearing him down, and I am not far behind him gals.

I agree with Rose, it does sounds like vertigo a bit. My father has it and has to take medication when he has his 'dizzy spells' as he calls it. I hope your hubby is feeling better soon.

Hi, this sure sounds like vertigo. My neighbor was diagnosed with it and he couldn't even turn over in bed without getting dizzy. He is much better now as they have him on medication but you really might ask a Dr. about this, sure sounds like his symptoms.

My prayers are with you both, hang in there, illness is never easy.
Farmgirl love and hugs to you both.

Hopefully, we will both get back on track, as I have been hurting badly - my fibro I guess. This am I woke up and could hardly move the ring on my finger from swelling of my hands. Sheesh - I hurt so much to move. Was going to go to my Dr today but as usual you can never get an appt and I did not want to see another doctor so I just did not bother to go. I felt better once I got up and moving - now as it gets later, I ache and hurt all over. The dampness is not helping me either, my poor feet are cold even with socks on.
Thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts, I will keep you posted

Kathy, I will pray for you both and the doctors. I am a nurse and I know from both sides how frustrating it is to wait and see what you can find out. If your doctors are not listening to you there are always others that will. Good luck with everything.

Kathy, I hope the Dr. will have some answers for your husband and you on Monday. My Dad suffered from bouts with Vertigo, when he had one he ended up flat on his back in bed. He couldn't even turn his head without getting sick feeling. At least your husbands tests have ruled out some things. I pray you have your answers soon.

Kathy, I am very sorry for both of you. Dizzyness is frightening. Did the doctors checked for Mesnieres syndrom ?
I pray for both of you to be better soon, and for the cause of the trouble to be diagnosticed.

Sorry to hear this. My friend was very dizzy to the point of not even being able to turn her head without a spinning sensation, hers was an iner ear disorder. Hope you find out soon what the problem is and fix it.
Nice to see you on the site, always miss you when you are away.

Oh Kathy..you both will sure be in my prayers. That is so awful that they can't pin down what it is!! I tend to get dizzy on most medications...and hate that feeling. (so I like to avoid medicine) I hope they can figure out what is causing that for him!!! hang in there!!

Oh Kathy, you guys certainly have my sympathy! Dizzy spells are so awful. I'll be praying the doctor will listen... and have wisdom to do whatever test would help find an answer.
