Hugs, and kisses, kisses, KISSES!!!! to the Halloween Mini Apron Crew!

I received an adorable surprise today! 16 mini-aprons--the PERFECT halloween decoration. I'm set for life! Meg is tying them into a garland for a photo so I can post and share how fantabulous they are. You are all sooooooo talented and kind and generous and thoughtful. You've made my day!!!! I am so surprised. Wow. There are even treats in the tiny little pockets. Adorable.

MaryJane

P.S. And here's the photo I promised to take of the mini-apron garland surprise sent to me earlier this summer.

Look for my new book, "MaryJane's Stitching Room," in bookstores now. Coming next in 2008: "MaryJane's Outpost Guidebook - for Cultivating Your Inner Wild."

Wonderful way to display the mini's. The ones sent me are destined for a laundry room garland on a mini clothes line. And displayed on a glass Aunt Jemima syrup bottle. Love that teal paint on the truck too!
Stacks on mid 50's trucks were the way to go, our '58 Chevy had them too. Only thing missing is the requisite broom to keep the bed swept off. We have a '53 Ford F-100 sitting in the side yard waiting for restoration, though he said he may never get to it and would sell it as is.

Maybe it was a bad idea for me to join here, I am getting so many new ideas and I already had so many ideas already. You know the saying "Who ever dies with the most fabric wins". Well I've got quite a stash along with the ideas to make something, but somehow there just does not seem like there is enough time to do all that I see that I want to do.
I love the truck. I have a VW Jetta diesal and I love it. When I started reading some of my moms issues of your magazine and I saw the pink Mercedes, I think that is what got me interested. I love Pink.

oh lord, help me, another project in the wings...

Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

Ha JP, those are called STACKS. She's stacked and ... her pipes are stoked, I mean they smoke...

My new/old 2-ton teal-colored '56 will be a star in the re-launch issue of our next magazine. I adopted her from a just retired life-long trucker who rebuilt her bolt by bolt in his outback shop. He loved her so much that he and his wife drove her all the way to Arizona several times pulling a trailer. (He was showing her off I'm sure.) But it's impressive because it doesn't have things like AC or power steering, etc. At any rate, she's been loved and he wanted to find a good home for her. (He also liked the idea of her being much photographed.) I'll be sharing her with you for sure. If you ever get my way, I'll take you for a spin. I love it that you all love her. It just might be the famgirl litmus test--a girl's true-blue affection for trucks--the smell of diesel, truck boxes, rails, stick shifts... Silly boys, trucks are for girls.

Laughing while reading this!!! We all love the truck as much as the sweet aprons adorning it! I love the truck, too, and yes, the first thing I noticed was the nice curve of the top and the color!!!! Only farmgirls would love the truck! :)

Oh, and the chrome mufflers....

The truck is gorgeous..isn't it!
I think Mary Jane said that was her favorite color too..

& that trunk.. how cool is that!
Only a farmgirl would have thought to keep a trunk on the back of her pick up!
i wonder if it holds tools.. or if it's for treasures that she finds along the way?

Very cute! With all the aprons strung together, they look like a "farmgirl" banner.
