Posted - Oct 14 2007 : 6:31:39 PM Dear Elizabeth,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your son's friend. Tragedies such as these, are so difficult to bear, they remind us of the fragility of life. But, Oh such heroes, that stand on the wall and keep watch, that we may lead lives that are comfortable and without fear. I am in awe of their great dedication, and I feel completely in their debt, and they will always be super heroes to me...
God bless you, and keep you and all those who suffer at this time..

Posted - Oct 12 2007 : 05:53:41 AM Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear about your son's friend. I will certainly keep you all in my prayers. We have 2 boys in our church who are in the armed forces right now--it's heartbreaking sometimes because from this vantage point in life (I'm 49) they almost look like they're still little boys just playing at being soldiers. But the reality of what they're actually doing, and risking, and the fact that they're so young for all this responsibility and risk just drives you to your knees. It's very sobering, and they deserve our utmost respect and honor.

Posted - Oct 12 2007 : 05:45:37 AM So sorry Elizabeth--it becomes increasingly difficult to hear of more loss of these boys and girls in Iraq. I'm thinking of you, and them, at this time.

I am so sorry to hear about your son's and family's loss. It is so sad to hear the numbers of troops killed in war, especially when you realize that each and every one of those soldiers leaves someone behind. *hugs to you and your family* I wish I could do more!
