I'm late to the party, but glad you're feeling better, and wow, talk about a scary progression.

Next time/next year it might be worth it to have on hand:

- Colloidal silver on hand (antibiotic without the issues a 'regular' antibiotic may have - if you treat it like a medicine and not daily water you won't have any smurf problems),

- Elderberry syrup (I make my own with elderberries, glycerine, honey, ginger, cinnamon and something else) - the honey also makes it good for coughing/sore throats,

- Vitamin C and Vitamin D (rosehips/jam have a ton of vit C, there's also chewables and drops out there - one of my fav shops for these is Pharmaca) - these also shore up your immune system and such,

- Fermented cod liver oil/butter oil... not necessarily the best tasting stuff, but it kept me and my kids healthy from Oct-Feb (until I ran out - and we were *all* over town with our homeschooling selves), and it has the bonus of helping nourish us so our bodies/teeth are healthier (yes, I'm also healing cavities),

- Thieves Oil blend of essential oils - this stuff is practically magical. I've done amazing things with it, including get rid of a rash/suspicious spots on my arm within a day or two (we had issues with fungus after FIL stayed last year so I'm wary of things nowadays), we use it to ward off germs and diffuse into the house (smells like Christmas/baking!), and un-diluted I've used it to eradicate tooth pain (my mom came visiting shortly after a root canal, was in some pain in between the Tylenol/Advil dosing, I made her rub a q-tip of thieves oil on her gum/tooth, and her pain was gone within minutes and stayed that way until she was able to dose up with the other meds).

Huh. Writing all that out kinda makes me sound like a crazy hippie, but since we rarely go to the doc (last time I went in was 2.5 years ago for PPD) and tend to just stay healthy first/DIY it, yeah. Bonus if I can make/grow stuff in my own yard (my elderberries are from across the street, honey's from within a 50 mile radius).

I am glad you are doing better. Try staying off dairy. I have to do this whenever one of us is sick and it seems to help. I also drink as much water with lemon or cucumber as I can. Praying for you!!!

My first thought was "elderberry syrup", but I am glad you went to the hospital and are healing :).

I am feeling much better ladies still coughing a little and some pain from the pulusry. But much better. But the Dr does not want me to go back to work until I see the specialist, and that is the 18th...Just hoping work understands...I have given this up to GOD when I went to the hospital so I wont worry about it....
Thanks Ladies

Well I was in the ER yesterday for 7 hrs...and the outcome was viral broncicial phenomia and no work until next Friday...rest (right) and meds..I have to go back to my regular Dr on Monday to see how the meds are doing...probably wont...so I got 2 breathing treatments and blood work done with a CT scan and xray..and some good pain meds and more steriods...I am sure this will do the trick...this one really knocked me off my feet...God always does this to me when he wants me to slow down...he knows me so well...lol...At my age you would think I would listen when he tells me nicely...but I am hard headed..
Thanks Ladies

Hope you feel better! Honey is also excellent for coughs, so if you start having a coughing fit between doses of your cough med you can take a couple spoons of honey and drink warm fluids--it helps alot!

Definitely let your MD know about the hives--may be a reaction to one of your meds (even the antibiotic injection). Elderberry is one of my favorites of all time because it does so much and kills the flu virus. vitamin c, zinc, vitamin D also very helpful.

Jack Daniels, honey and lemon juice. And the elderberry syrup. Also maybe try peppermint tea with lots of honey and lemon. I hope you feel better soon. It would help if you could stay in bed a few days to let your body rest and heal.

Don;t have any suggestions other than hot apple cider. Pour into a coffee mug and microwave for 60 seconds. Tastes and feels so good going down, especially when you have bronchitis.

Deborah--try elderberry juice or syrup. It's great for bronchitis.
