I went to our local herb doctor this morning. I've been trying to get there for months. I was the only one there when I went in. I told him I needed some nice pills. He asked some questions and then went to the back and mixed up some leaves, roots and bark and flowers and brought me out 2 pints of magical elixer. He said it's going to help take the edge off. I sure hope it works. I hate being this way. I just need something to help me to be nice again.

I also noticed while I was waiting that they have all kinds of herbal capsules. I got some kelp to help with thyroid function and matabolism. Maybe it might help me lose some weight?

This place has been in Flintstone, Ga. for at least 50 years or so. It was started by Gene Hicks. He ran it for several years, then handed it over to his son Barry. He's who I talked to today. I've been there a lot before.

Are there any of you farm girls who go to herb doctors? I would so much rather go to them than a real doctor.

I have been teaching herbal medicine and wildcrafting workshops and apprenticeships for over 20 years. I love what I do, I love my students, and love that it keeps the roof over my head! I'm glad that the elixir is working for you.

It's been 2 weeks now since I started the herbal "happy" juice. I do feel less agitated. I got to thinking that I haven't been hollering and cussing at my goats. I have even been hanging out with them. Really strange for me. I love my goats, but they sure can be a source of long strings of profanity. And it seems like traffic doesn't bother me as much either. I am not bothered by long lines. I even sat in the longest line at a traffic light a few times today. Normally I would have done all I could to get in the shorter line.

So there is some improvement. I went today to get some more. I asked if there was a stronger version. He made me the same. He must have been able to tell a difference too. So I hope this will keep me at a nice even peaceful place from now on. I sure was not liking myself much at all.

Yes I do since I suck at doctoring myself, lol. Where I live I'm the local root doc ;). Kelp is excellent for thyroid nourishment.

They make it for that person only. And right then too. They have on the label a list that says it contains one or more of the following ingredients. Which is a lot of roots and trees and leaves and things. It smells really good. But with all the questions they ask, they are making these strange notes and then they mix up something just for me only. Everyone's will be different. That's what I like about them. People come from all over, from several states, to see them. All their capsuls are fresh too.

I am feeling a little sleepy right now. I hope it's not the stuff he gave me. I don't want to be tired. I just want to be less aggravated at everything all the time. But awake!
