What do I need to take to get them to stop. I am assuming my immune system is out of whack I am so tired of coughing, sneezing and generally feeling awful.

Hi Diana,

Hope you feel better by now! Gypsy Cold Care is great, but it depends on what your symptons are. Elderberry syrup is very good for making colds go away, and it sounds like you would benefit from taking it on a regular basis. I make my own, order my berries from Mountian Rose Herbs.

1/2 elderberries (dried)
3 cups of water
1 cup of local honey (raw, if you can)

Simmer elderberries until they are reduced, about 45 min. Strain into jar, smashing the berries to get all the juice. Mix in honey.
voila!

Now, I add fresh ginger and cinnamon to my berries while I simmer, but you can experiment.

If you have congestion, an easy way to loosen it is with a heat wrap.
Take a kitchen towel, dampen, add about 20 drops of lavendar, and put in a hot oven until steamy. Or microwave, if you have one (I don't!). Make sure it is not burning to the touch. Lay folded towel on chest, cover with another towel and lots of blankets, and reat for at least 20 minutes.

Happy healing!

Oh, Diana - you poor thing! We have this tea that we get from the grocery store called "Gypsy Cold Care." It really helps tremendously! If you're unable to get hold of any there where you live, I'll gladly pick up a box for you and send it! My gift to you, sister! Just let me know! Hope you feel better soon! Hugs - Nini

I would say first to limit all sugar intake. I know that's tough during this season, but cut the sugar. Also cut out processed foods!

Then I would say to start drinking an Echinacea tea, such as Traditional Medicinals http://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/product/echinacea-plus-reg or Bulk Herb Store Double E-Immune Boost tea http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Double-E-Immune-Booster_Organic (my personal favorite).

Then I would eat as much homemade chicken broth as possible (no msg, no preservatives, no yucky stuff)to get some good nutrients in ya.

Then you should eat some awesome citrus that's in season right now...ruby red grapefruit, clementines etc.

Load up on your veggies and snuggle up with a good book.

~I'm not a doctor and this is just what I would do, so take it or leave it. Hope you feel better soon!

Hugs,
April :)

I go with acv, elderberry syrup, the onion by the bed and I also rub vicks every where that I ache but especially on the bottoms of your feet with a pair of warm socks at bedtime. Opens the sinus' which believe it or not have pressure points in the soles of the feet like many other things. Feel better.

I swear by apple cider vinegar. It's even better if you can find organic. Just take a teaspoon full at the first sniffle. Also an onion by the bed. Sounds weird but I am never sick even when everyone around me is.

Feel better!!

Drink elderberry juice or syrup and take an echinacea supplement.

Diana, I'm so sorry to hear that. Take vitamin C, gargle with salt water if your throat is sore, I rub Vicks on my neck area. Stay warm. I hope you are feeling better soon.
