I'm reading the book, "Your Backyard Herb Garden" and found something out. For the last 2 or 3 years I have been growing Lemon Balm, not Lemon Verbena, as the pot stated, when I purchased the plant.

So, I guess the little marker that is usually included was moved by someone or mistakenly put in it. I've only used my herbs for culinary purposes, and want to start adding some for hair conditioners, salves etc. I really like this book too.

I'll have to put it on my "wish" list now, along with a lemon verbena plant - ha ha! I think I even sent a farmgirl seeds from mine, thinking it was verbena.

Well, this makes me wonder what I am growing. When we moved into our house, I discovered a plant that comes back every year right outside the back door. It has a very strong lemon scent. I don't know if it's balm or verbena. Hmmm
