I recently started a new blog featuring herbs- http://stillroomherbs.blogspot.com/

I was inspired by a post here about still room books. Many thanks to the dear lady who sparked my interest in still rooms and inspired me to start a blog focusing on what I love ... herbs and gardening!

I'd love for you to drop by, and if you have a blog where you frequently write about herbs or gardening, I'd love to add you to my link list.

Blessings,
Catherine :)

Catherine your blog is lovely! I'll be checking back. I blog about herbs irregularly--my blog is sort of a big mishmash of herbs, novels I'm reading, posts on writing fiction, things about knitting and my Etsy shop, and stuff about energy work and tarot/oracle readings and food and chickens and farming and . . . well. All the stuff I'm in to.

herbquilter I'm checking out your blog too, it looks great!

Thanks Colleen!

Melody,
Soapmaking is something I want to try ... just haven't got the nerve up yet! Snipping fresh herbs to use or dry is indeed a joy!

Catherine,

I too grow herbs! I plant in raised beds on our property which happens to be located in town. My DH and I ripped out the front yard last year and now I have 5 very large raised beds strategically hidden behind a long and tall picket fence facing our front sidewalk. 2- of the beds are strictly for herbs...Rosemary, Mint (kept in a large clay pot), Lemon Balm, Lemon Thyme, Mother-of-Thyme, Basil,Lemon Verbena and Lavender (My lavender was getting too big in the bed I have behind another picket fence located next to the garage) and so I moved three of bigger plants out front.

Lavender is first on my list of fav's with Basil a very close
second-

I am a soap-maker and I incorporate many of my own herbs and dried flowers. It's such a pleasure to be able to "pop" outside and "snip" fresh herbs to use in the kitchen or dry them for later use!
