Does anyone know of a treatment those things I call "swollen" tastebuds? I've got one on the side of my tongue that keeps hitting my teeth and causing a lot of discomfort.

I would recommend rinsing with salt water. Not sure if that will actually get rid of them, but it will kill bacteria, which is what makes any kind of mouth sore so, well, SORE!

MHS, that's a crack-up! A friend of mine told his kids that when they lie a red dot appears on their foreheads. He knows when they're lying now because they talk to him with their hands on their heads.

I don't have a cure but my family has jokingly called them "lie bumps" for generations. I think it was a way for our grandmothers to see if we had a guilty conscience if we suspected we really got punished for telling a story.

Actually it just stings for a second and then you are all better. Sometimes if I let it go too long my tongue might be sore for a couple hours by by the next day you'll be as good as new! :D

Ouch Jessie! Those hurt! I hope it goes away for you soon! I usually pull them off or clip them off. Probably a dumb thing to do but then it is all healed up within a day or so instead of lasting for a week! Ouch!
