Posted - May 15 2010 : 05:15:30 AM Hi Marly! As you get to know your herbs, you will be amazed at the abundance of wild herbs! One thing that is super fun to do, find an old homestead. . . the house, barn etc long gone. . . then walk through the area. . . keep watch and you will find what herbs were grown at that homestead. Keep a map of these areas and you will be able to harvest from them ( land owner permission may be needed )

Posted - May 12 2010 : 04:27:37 AM Okay, Lovage is like celery. . grows well and tastes great! Since I am allergic to onions, I use lots of lovage in place of it. Shinleaf is a new one for me too. . it is used to heal bruising and I will need to do more reading up on it for all of its good properties and what parts to use.
One thing I love about herbs is there versatility. Whether they are for medicinal use, cooking or crafting. . . they are always a delight!![](icons/icon_smile.gif)
