Thought they would be fun to give out for Easter! Also for May Day.
Now I will need to pull out my book of meanings so that each herb I plant will have significance to the day.

Have any of you done this?

Okay, you got me thinking as I am about to start some "baskets" of my own. Decided to use the bottom of the plastic milk container as my basket. I will do some with grass and some with a mix of herbs. Then like you I was wondering who to give it to. . . then I thought, hmmm, why not bring them to church one Sunday. Leave them as a gift to whom ever would like one! I will be able to do up a cute little sign for each container letting them know what they are and how to use them.
Since our church has a lot of the elderly, this would be perfect for them and easy to take care of as well.

You ladies are brilliant. I have seen grass used as a basket but, never thought about using herbs. Now who should I give one too...????

This is so much fun to do. I like using herbs medicinally and will sometimes give herb baskets to people if they're sick, to help them feel better. Or cooking themes, like herbs for Italian cooking, etc. Have fun!

Go for it!!! Another real easy one that is fun for kids and cats, plant a basket of grass. Great to put easter eggs in and the kitty gets fresh grass to eat afterwards. . . or even your chickens!

Love love love that idea! Thanks for sharing it. If I can organized enough, I'd like to "borrow" your idea :)
