I just joined Young Living Essential Oils as an Independent Distributor. I also started a Blog just for the business:
Lavender Fairy: http://thelavenderfairy.blogspot.com/

I have a post about Lavender on it....

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. It is great for winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that make it just as beneficial for boosting stamina and energy.*

Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to cleanse cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The French scientist René Gattefossé was the first to discover these properties when he severely burned his hands in a laboratory explosion. Using lavender oil, he noticed a remarkable healing soon afterwards.

Just a gentle reminder, it is not advisable to use undiluted essential oils directly on your skin. Oils should be mixed with a carrier oil, my favorite is sweet almond oil but any of the carrier oils can be used even olive oil off the pantry shelf.

Hi Peg! I'm not familiar with YL Essential Oils, but I'll go take a look at your blog.

I can say this about Lavender oil: I had a complete hysterectomy in January, with the resulting incision from belly button to pubic bone. I was allergic to the nickle in the staples they used to close the incision. So, I got a terrible inflamation. The "wound" physician said to "forget vitamin E, use lavender oil intstead. It is healing, soothing and will make the scar virtually disappear". I did and it does! Great stuff!
