Anyone have any suggestions how to ease cramps. I also have endometriosis and a month ago had an oopherectomy(sp?). This is my first cycle since and may I just say OMG this hurts. Just kill me now. Why is it hurting so bad where I don't have an ovary?

Please I am desperate and will try anything!!!!

I don't think I read anyone mention Arnica (the homeopathic tablets). It is wonderful for muscle pain, I used it during and after childbirth and it worked miracles for inflammation.
I wonder if your healing ok. I know that after a surgery where they removed something, sometimes your guts will twist and fill the spot. Have you spoke to your dr?

I have been a nurses assistant this last year and have learned about an awesome healer named, Louise L. Hay. She believes negative thought patterns create diseases; her book is called "Heal your body".

For Overies she writes
they represent "creativity" and a positive thought to heal them is "I am balanced in my creative flow". I know it sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo but I see it working for so many people, it cant hurt to try.

Oh I also just saw "pain" listed. She says "pain represents guilt seeking punishment" and to say to yourself (she says talk to yourself facing a mirror so you can look yourself in the eyes) "I lovingly release the past. They are free and I am free. All is well in my heart now."

Thank you I will try the willow next. B12 is something I take daily and that doesn't seem to help any. I am trying to hang in there until my doc appt but I will def try willow tea. Thanks ya'll are the best!

If you are not allergic to aspirin, you can try the bark of Weeping Willow or White Willow (Salix tristis or Salix alba), as well as Evening Primrose Oil, both of which I use. You find a mature tree and cut off some new branches (their size being less than the thickness of your little finger) about two feet long. Sit comfortably and strip off the bark, including the green underbark as well, into a bowl. You can use the strips of bark either dried or fresh, as follows:
1) Make a tea. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, remove from heat and pour into a cup containing your stripped willow bark. Steep 10 minutes. It will be bitter but that's the healing ingredients talking! Add honey or maple syrup and/or minty herbs like Lemon Balm to make it more tasty. Sip at your leisure.
2) Make a tincture. Have handy a sterile glass bottle with tight-fitting lid, spring water, brandy and your bark. Place a loose handful of bark in the jar, pour in to half the water and fill the other half with brandy (preservative and extractant). Cap and shake. Leave to steep for full potency until 5 to 7 days, and strain into another bottle such as one equipped with a dropper pipette. More than likely you can begin to use it even if the mixture has not steeped more than two days, as the phytochemicals tend to extract quite readily from willow. My usual dosage to alleviate pain is two dropperfuls (about 12 drops per dropperful) per hour or less often as your system gets used to the dosage and will adjust its demand accordingly. For anyone NOT allergic to aspirin, this is one of the best remedies for pain in the herbal kingdom.

Vitamin B12 will help as well. Just start with small amounts to make sure you are okay with it.

I ditto the Evening Primrose Oil -- that stuff is amazing and I swear by it! Red Raspberry Leaf (either tea or capsules) is wonderful, too, and if you have it made into tea, you can just drink it all day. Vitex (also called Chasteberry) is another great one, but it goes to work much more slowly (when taking it on a daily basis, it can take up to 3 months to start seeing changes, but it's been really effective for me). I hope you're feeling better soon!

I used to take Vitamin A and Evening Primrose Oil. Make sure you take low doses than suggested, to see how you react. Also, I found cutting out bread seems to help and drinking GALLONS of water. Hope you feel better!!! : )
