An infusion of Chamomile flowers is used as a hair shampoo, especially for fair hair. The flowers are sometimes added to cosmetics as an anti-allergenic agent. The dried herb is made into potpourri and herb pillows, and is burned for aromatherapy.

Applied externally as a wash or compress for skin inflammations, sunburn, burns, and added to bath for relaxing tired, achy muscles and feet, and softening the skin.

Ever try infusing oils? I use extra virgin olive oil and fill small muslin bags with either Chamomile or Calendula, drop that into a large covered jar and place in my cupboard for a few weeks. I then incorporate my infusion into the healing salve that I make.

I used catnip tea for my daughter too! My crazy pediatrician told me that I shouldn't but I did ayways. I also used Karo syrup for constipation and it worked.

You can also use chamomile tea to make a dampening off spray for your seedlings. I have the recipe on my blog.

My babies had colic so bad it was insane and the best thing was Chamomile with Catnip tea. I breast fed but we would make the tea and put it in the small bottles and the babies could drink a couple of sips (thats all it took) to soothe their upset belly.
We love Chamomile!

I love my chamomile tea before bed... and during stressful moments. Good stuff.

I had a cup of chamomile tea last night when I couldn't sleep. This is another wonderful herb!
