Also don't neglect your Vitamin B! Get a full Vitamin B complex! They really really help!

St. Johns Wort is what my doctor is giving me for my mild depression and anxiety. Again, check with your doctor and get blood work done!! Mine is checked every 6 weeks!!!!

I always seem to have a case of baby blues after giving birth and this time my midwife suggested taking fish oil to combat that. Guess what? My baby is three months old now and I have felt better then I have in a long time. So I would suggest fish oil caspsules. I've read that it helps a lot for minor cases of depression, or the blues. Give it a couple weeks to start working.

First off get a general check up and bloodwork to be sure you are okay! That is very important as things such as thyroid issues and menopause can cause depression. Is this a emotional time of year for you? Did you lose someone close to you this time of year? I lost my mom, dad and sister in the summer months so especially July/August are hard months for me.
Herbally, I tout that Lemon Balm is wonderful! I make a tincture out of it and take it either with honey or on a cube of sugar, it tastes wonderful.
You have to be careful with some of the other herbs if you are on medication or have a specific medical condition - Do you? I can recommend more for you too!

Jess:
Are you getting enough sunshine (Vit D)? I've found if I don't get some sun I get super sad. I hate the feeling of sadness. It is tiring! Hope you feel better soon.
