So, a whole bunch of veterans working in disaster relief after the hurricane in NC, etc. are about to get a whole bunch of food.

Another big shipment of donated food is heading out to Team Rubicon!

For more than 2 years we’ve been helping to feed Team Rubicon, a veteran-focused disaster relief organization, through sales of our long-term storage foods (for every 3# bulk mylar package of food we sell, we donate two pouches of food to Team Rubicon). If you’d like to learn more about Team Rubicon check out my Raising Jane posts:

What a wonderful organization to support, MaryJane! Your delicious and wholesome foods are going to bring so many people much needed sustenance as they recover from the devastation of Hurricane Matthew. Thank-you for all that you do!!

What an awesome thing to do. If everyone would do something to help another person, what a different world we would have. You are doing a good work and when you bless someone else the blessings return abundantly. Many blessings for the good you do.

MaryJane, that is just so extremely thoughtful and cool... How easily we forget everything that the rescue workers do and give up to help others! That is simply awesome that you are taking care of them, too! Team Rubicon ROCKS! And so does the MJF food packaging team! (You GO guys!) I just want to give them all a big hug and a thank you for all they do! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! - Nini

That's so great that you do that, MaryJane. The volunteers are giving of their time and they need their nutritious meals to keep them going.

My DIL, one of the MJ Farmgirls, was sent to Savannah, Georgia from the Dallas Red Cross office. She is a Red Cross volunteer here in east Texas and was sent to help with the Disaster Assessment in and around Savannah.
