We are coming to visit!!

Mom (MaryJane) and I are so excited for our upcoming adventure. Bon-Ton has invited us to host an afternoon of Farmgirl fun during their customer appreciation weekend.

We’ll be at their Boston Store in Brookfield, WI at Noon on May 20, 2011.

And their Carson Pirie Scott store in Lombard, IL at Noon on May 21, 2011.

If you need a new bedset, both stores are offering a free year subscription to our magazine with a purchase of a MaryJane's Home bedset over the weekend.

And, what to do with your old bedset…

Mom and I have some ideas. We’ll be teaching a variety of uses for your well-worn bedding.
· Fabric covered boxes & drawer fronts
· Ottoman slip covers
· House-pet Beds
· Euro Pillows
· Pillows made using vintage doilies and hankies

And a bit of help on what to do with the packaging the bedsets are sold in too.

Being Farmgirls, we will also have quite a few giveaways as well. We are so hoping to take this opportunity to meet some of our fellow Farmgirls and Sisters. Please holler my way with any questions or post them here. I will also keep ya’ll posted with any new news here.

MaryJane's daughter,

Meg

Meg! Help!

Your Mom shared her hair combs with me last Saturday and said she purchased them at Rite-Aid. They would be perfect for securing my "always seems to escape the comb and clip" hair while performing Farmgirl duties and for my work as a Nurse.

Can you find out a manufacturer and an item number for me? I have "combed" the internet could not find similar combs and as I do not live near a Rite-Aid...I find myself in need!

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Warmly,
Sharon

We had a great time in Milwaukee with Mary Jane & Meg... two great women!! We were able to meet 3 other sisters from the area and we had our aprons on that CJ made. Too bad they had to go to IL and not spend more time here in WI. I bought myself a throw pillow for the bed in my Glamper, to remember the day and meeting the girls from ID. You are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for the necklace Mary Jane.

I had fun meeting a few Farm Girls myself. I didn't stick around for the meet & greet afterwards.

Trying to see how I can fit the Creative Connection event into my schedule! Sounds like a great time.

It was great meeting MaryJane and Meg,and their beautiful family. I'm not a mall person but it was nice spending the day at the Mall with fellow farmgirls. Fiddlehead Farm, Bboobster and I received a few smiles as we walked through the mall with our aproms on. It was also nice to meet some new farmgirls and their little ones. Hope to see you all again and continue to meet more farmgirls.

Dawn - looking forward to seeing the pictures. The gift bag really was amazing and totally unexpected. Mary Jane is very generous.

Heidi - I'll keep you posted about the tearoom, until then, stop in at Jaszy's Java and tell Darla I said Hi. Your pillow is so ca-ute... I've been meaning to try the Budget Mix. Let me know how it works.

CJ - you're absolutely right, we were sooooo fortunate to be there and meet Mary Jane and Meg. What a day!

The feeling of connectedness at this event was so amazing. I feel like everyone I met yesterday afternoon are my good, good friends. And the best part is... They are! Life is good...

I had a fantastic time today. I met Mary Jane and Meg - and lots of other farmgirls from IL. Mary Jane and Meg had wonderful ideas about repurposing things - so talented and creative. I bought a new comforter set - the new Liberty print - for my guest room. Its beautiful... Thank you so much, Mary Jane and Meg for your generousity... Please come back again, any time!

It was also nice to meet so many farmgirls from Naperville, Chicago, Homer Glen, Wilmington, Aurora and Dixon! What a wonderful group of farmgirls. Let's get together again for a field trip or something soon! You are all invited to tea at Letty Mae's (as soon as the tearoom is open) - hope to see you soon.

Went to see Mary Jane & Meg, two great ladies today in Milwaukee.
They are so down to earth and our only regret was not being able to have them stay here longer. My autographed book is very special!!
Thank you both for coming to WI and please come back again!!

I had a wonderful time at the Boston Store in Brookfield with MaryJane and Meg! They gave an awesome presentation on re-cycling old bedding and re-purposing the vinyl bags that bedding comes in. I won't give away too much yet, the IL farmgirls will just have to go and see for themselves! Virtual CJ and I met up with Bboopster, SimplyAnn, KamperKat and a few other farmgirls. A couple of us spent the next couple hours eating and talking in true farmgirl fashion. It's not often we go to the big city and spend time in the Mall! There will be pictures later. My camera is broken and I forgot my DD's camera so I have to wait for some e-mails to post photos. If you are anywhere near Chicago, I really must encourage you to go.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
