Posted - Jul 18 2010 : 06:55:30 AM I would love to attend this event but I would love it even more if the sisters would have lodging organized at a location that is a bit more farm girl friendly, some place that is a bit more true to our values and lifestyle. Is there someone in the organization or a Minnesota chapter that could organize this? Could we have a separate meet and greet, or other activities to reenforce our sisterhood network?

Posted - Jul 19 2010 : 06:18:01 AM One of my favorite and most used websites of all time lists some recommended dining in the downtown Minneapolis area. I haven't been disappointed yet by any of their recommendations. There are quite a few meals not included in the cost of the CC Event and I love to eat at small local restaurants if given the chance. I'm getting excited about this weekend! I'm planning on attending all of the sessions, a $585 investment, which doesn't include lodging or travel, a significant investment for us, I want to make the most of it. I'd rather save money on lodging and eat better and catch a show or exhibit. http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurants/SearchResults.aspx?st=latlong&latlongid=182&ob=LatLon

Posted - Jul 19 2010 : 05:46:53 AM There is a play at the Guthrie Theater on Saturday night at 7:30 that I would love to attend. The following is from the theaters web site... The Master Butchers Saturday, September 18, 2010, 7:30 PM WURTELE THRUST
by Marsha Norman based upon the novel by Louise Erdrich directed by Francesca Zambello September 11 - November 6, 2010 SINGLE TICKETS AVAILABLE BEGINNING AUGUST 1
Bookended by the two World Wars, The Master Butchers Singing Club, a moving story of tradition, family, love and loss, follows the life of Fidelis Waldvogel and his family, as well as Delphine Watzka and her partner Cyprian, as they adjust in their separate lives in the small town of Argus, North Dakota. As Fidelis and Delphine’s lives intertwine, the play chronicles ordinary small-town citizens as they encounter the extraordinary events — both in their insular world and in the larger world — that come to define their lives. http://www.guthrietheater.org/
WICKED is also performing at the Orpheum Theatre that week! If you haven't seen it yet, this is an excellent opportunity!
