I LOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEE MaryJane's book - I have a really hectic job and my everyday life is very stressful. When I come home, I am just worn out. I lay down and read MJ's Ideabook-Cookbook-Lifebook with a cup of tea and it is better than "Calgon, Take Me Away"....I feel so much more relaxed and in-touch when I read her book and view the photos. So thanks Mary Jane for the mini-vacation - I am so grateful.

I feel the same way about this website. I haven't been so modivated to change my life in 20 years! No kidding. I have prayed for something/someone to come my way and light a fire under me. Well now I am on "fire" and loving every minute of it. I feel more alive than I have felt in a very long time. I feel like I have finally found a place where I fit, like "home" should feel. Wow! A blessing I never expected and I am welcoming it with all my heart. Love you guys! Thank you all for what you contribute and bring to us each and every day.

I would love to have an outdoor tub and some chickens...I miss my chickens and ducks and geese! I could totally relate....Code Enforcement would be knocking on my door with my citation before I could explain one minute of Farmgirl @ heart! LOL!
So, I have to imagine the White Ibis, and the Heron's and the other Florida birds are my farm birds, and that ditch (dry canal) in the back with a drip of water and a turtle or two is my farm!!!
my patio has three gold fish in the pond and that's my Florida Barnyard!!!

I have often thought I would love an outside shower in the summer time, But the idea of an outdoors tub is delightful. My only problem is I live to close to my neighbors and they can see everything I do.

I want to put in an outdoor tub. When I was growing up we did not have an indoor bathroom because we were tenant farmers. We lived off the road and had a long driveway. In the summer we would take washpan baths outdoors on the back step when it got dark. That is about the only part I remember favorably about not having an indoor bathroom.

Please don't take your book in the tub...would you happen to remember the Cheers episode where Sam took some valuable book into the tub, fell asleep and wah-lah...the book turned into an accordian! Very funny but not what you would want to happen to your mini vacation!

Count your blessings!

I think I am going to plant my arugala lettuce in the toilet bowl this year...it will look good with the ivy behind it!

Well there is an idea - maybe I should take the book and read it in the tub!!! Maybe that is where the Cialis commercial got the idea for the "two tubs outside" in their commercials. I have made an interesting planter out of a piece of bathroom equipment. When our Kohler toilet broke, we found out you could only use Kohler parts (very expensive) to fix it. That made me frustrated - the toilet was new(ish) being less than 5 years old, so for something that is expensive to break in a relatively short period of time with expensive repairs was more than I could bear. After we replaced it with a more ecoonomical one, I put it in the backyard and made it into a planter. I am afraid if I put a tub in back there (we are in an urban area right now) codes enforecement would get me! But maybe when we get to the mountain we could have an outdoor tub......if we put it in a platform tent!
