Posted - Aug 26 2009 : 08:56:20 AM Rene, Hard lesson to learn . . "I am enough". I am a "Recovering Perfectionist" and learning to be WHO I am, that I'm a unique woman created and LOVED by God . . . and that perfectionism and doing my best are TWO entirely different things. But, what freedom when you can move past striving . . a futile effort . . . for perfection! Yup . . . I'm Okay!!! THANKS! CJ

Posted - Aug 26 2009 : 06:47:20 AM Thanks for the encouraging words ladies. It seems we all get to that place where we need to just look into the mirror and say, "I am me" and that is "ENOUGH". I wonder where we first bought into the lie that we aren't enough? SO today I hope we all make that a part of our mantra... I AM ENOUGH :)

Posted - Aug 25 2009 : 3:27:03 PM Rene what a gift you have. That was a wonderful post. I hope everyone reads it until it really sinks in. The comments were great too. If all of us would say these words of yours over and over to themselves. I also very much agree with the quote "I am what I am and not what others want me to be." Those words were my mantra as I grew up. Boy, did I enjoy reading them again. Renewed my spirit. Thaks so much.

Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 5:31:25 PM Rene, EXCELLENT!!! I've been down that road SO-O-O-O-O-O many times and, yes, it is painful. But there is healing and we become stronger, sweeter and more patient.
This is also something my daughter has had to go through . . . and is learning from.
THANKS!!! CJ
