I told you in a recent Post that I would introduce you from time to time with some of the most amazing people I am meeting on our journey to the BBB (Our 2009 FarmFair called Buggy, barter and Boogie). And I started out by introducing you to Chris and Shannon Varela... they own Settler's Creek... I hope you have checked them out as we have so many AMAZING plans and surprises planned for their location on the Sunday of the BBB. The Sunday event will be a "MUST", you won’t want to miss it. It is a day of SIMPLY ORGANIC....Trust me when I say, YOU WILL WANT TO BE THERE!!!!

SO this morning I wanted to take just a minute and introduce you to Wendi Haught. Wendi has been a "closet farmgirl" for 2+ years ~ we all know them, they sneak in and out of the forum, reading and getting to know us and what is going on... I did it! And many of you did as well. Wendi is a farmgirls, farmgirl.....a true SISTA! She, like me is passionate about family farmers, and slow food and getting the word out. Wendi Just happens to be the TOP event planner in the CDA area. SO when she offered to "support" us in our BBB... you could have pushed me over with a feather... truly! And as "Lady Luck would have it", Wendi is a native of the Coeur D Alene Area, and knows every "in and out" imaginable she and her partner Scott (who will soon be donning "I dig farm chicks" apparel), own FRAMEWORK an event planning firm in CDA.

Scott and Wendi's commitment to the farmgirl ways and MaryJanesfarm is so amazing~ I have asked Wendi to jump into the forum and let you all know her. She is available to help with any questions you may have on the area, any "bumps in the road" on the housing or transportation end of things her website is info@frameworkmeetings.com

When I think of this event I can't help but feel it is going to be special...because of the people we are meeting on the way, the farmgirls that are stepping up in HUGE ways to be here and to offer themselves to the event...........Trust me YOU WONT WANT TO MISS A MINUTE OF IT!

Rene- I can't wait for everyone to meet all the folks in Coeur d Alene...I won't give too much away but having a leisurely dinner with everyone at Angelo's (mmmmmm) and teaching Yo Yo making at the MaryJane's store with you was a highlight of my 2008, come to think of it all my travels with farmgirls were highlights this year. I feel so blessed to be part of this sisterhood and we did laugh until our sides hurt. We need to get together again soon...are you heading to the farm in Jan?
Love- Reb

Ok, so since I no longer get to be just a long-time Forum reader, but now a contributor, please be kind...

We are SO EXCITED to be able to welcome all of you to the Coeur d'Alene area for the 2009 BBB weekend! There are many fantastic things planned to make sure you have plenty to see, do and share.

The Fourth of July weekend is a fantastic one to be in the area - but town will fill up quickly - I will post again soon with some "hhmmmmm" ideas for you to consider!

Hi Beverly the BBB (stands for Buggy,Barter & Boogie) the title of the 2009 Farm Fair as we are planning a 3 day event with the Sat of the event (July 4th) traveling down the Palouse (on the border of Idaho and Washington) to various little rural communities that surround Maryjanesfarm. The Event will begin friday July 3rd at the New MaryJanesFarm Store in Coeur d Alene Idaho, then travel down the Palouse to the Old Mill (owned by MaryJanesFarm) in Oakesdale, then Sunday a day of "simply Organic" BBQ at settlers Creek (www.settlerscreek.com).. Farmgirls from all over will be coming in for this event and we cannot wait for you all to get here... There are so many plans and surprises and just great plans, "afoot"....it is a MUST NOT MISS!
