MaryJane, Rebekka Mae, Rene Groom (prosser farmgirl) and Katy King traveled from MaryJanesFarm to Iowa last week to teach classes and lecture at the American Quilt Society shindig. 25,000 women from across the country attended!!! MaryJane provided a stunning display of aprons from her lifetime collection that totals some 400 aprons. (Her display also included the apron she and her mother made when she was 14 years old.) The MJF team also toured the kitchens and gardens of Country Home magazine based in Des Moines. Apron fever is everywhere!

Terri- Be sure to post some pictures of your apron, that should be good for a sisterhood badge right?

Rene, Farm Fair is going to be SO fun! Starting next month I am saving a bit of each paycheck in a little jar to spend that weekend, I really adore all the unique vendors and it feels great to plunk a few dollars down in these special towns when I pass through. I am on the lookout for a great 20's dress and some dancing shoes now!!!
See you soon sister, Rebekka

My cheeks really do hurt from all the laughing we did! I so needed a week of women. What fun we had parading around in our aprons, sisterhood badges and boots- you should have seen some of the looks and giggles we got but I bet lots of those ladies went home and dug out their mama's aprons. Men just didn't know what to do, but I saw them smiling to each other!
Wish you had all been there,
Rebekka

How did you like the walkways downtown that take you from one building to another wihtout ever going outside? We loved that as we could cart our booth books and boxes from the hotel to the exhibit hall much easier.....and there were even places to eat along the way.
